I've gone to the Nationwide (Busch series at the time) race at the Milwaukee Mile a few times. There were always 3 or 4 cars that made the race at the back of the field that were hopelessly over matched. You could see how much slower they were and even hear the difference in the way the engines sounded, they didn't seem to be getting the same RPM as the faster cars. These cars would start the race and do a few laps before just heading to the garage. They get their prize money for making the field and I would imagine just try to make the next race.

Golf = rich mans sport

NASCAR = poor redneck sport

I would guess the sponsors figure on better returns per customer from golf

ps: I like rednecks and NASCAR, so don't take that as hate

Jennifer Jo Cobb is a complete joke and shouldnt even be in the Nationwide series, sorry fla. she has company in Derrike Cope's nieces, Angela and Amber Cope...two more who need (maybe) to be at a local short track on a Saturday night.

I don't follow Nascar but the Nationwide series is the lesser series correct? essentially considered the minor leagues? If so then it would not be comparable to the PGA tour but the ironically enough Nationwide tour. Last Paying place at most Nationwide events pays about $1200 then there will be 60-70 guys who don't make the cut and walk home empty handed.

So, Koch has raced 10 of the 12 races so far and is in 23rd place in points, an average finish of 26th place
So he's not in last place, he's a mid-pack guy

In the K&N West, in 2009, he finished the series in the top 10 with an 8th overall. In 2010 in that series, he raced 9 of 12 races and still finished the series 13th overall. He led 17 laps both of those years and finished an average of 11th place over the races he competed in.

Raced one ARCA race last year, and led 70 laps and finished 3rd

Not sure what your axe to grind with Blake Koch is, but seems as if he's doing pretty decent for a young guy on zero budget and no sugar daddy paying his way.

That's like saying Kyle Partridge or Ricky Renner have no business on a race track with RV or Barcia because they finish in the middle of the field.

That article is why motocross is the ultimate motorsport... it's all about the rider.

I hear ya there, but the K&N stuff was in RCR equipment Jim Offenbach team is basically RCR's "developmental team" in the K&N West Series. his grandson Austin Dillion has run for them this year and last.

Poor girl had to carry her own luggage and driver her own rental car. Oh god! One way to alienate people from helping you in the future is complaining about how "hard" you have it. Most race teams struggled at one point or another.
