Speed....Moto 2.....Live? WTF

ok, so most of us just watched the french (motorstv) streaming from grosbert.

and if you watched it, it basically looked like speed did the coverage, live. but because of nascrap, it wasnt aired live here in the states?

whatever the case, i do not understand the purpose of live production, yet airing it at a later date. is it simply done like this for the foreign channels?


but the point of this thread is to ask the question, can we expect the rest of the season to be live moto2 on speed? someone please help me out with this one.

Some will be live and some same day but delayed on moto 2. Nascar gets top billing from Speed so MX has to tweak their broadcasts to accommodate the schedule.

I think only 4 are LIVE, but quite a few are same day, delayed.

I just finished watching the speed coverage in Australia. Basically 6 hr delay, highlights from first two motos and full second motos. HD looked awesome. Great coverage. Watching the first two motos live on,the net this morning with no commentary was actually a great way to see it. Next week we have all 4 motos live on Speed HD. That NASCAR going around in circles stuff must be annoying lol

Less than 10 years ago these things were on a week delay. A few years ago we had never heard the words live and Motocross used in the same sentence. I tell you what, when this sport pulls 100,000+ to the races like Nascar then MX will preempt everything. Until then just be happy the big cable networks even show our fringe sport that can barely pull 30,000 a race.

for the most part i think a lot of people were really happy with the coverage. go check out my other thread that gives fuel and mxsports a lot of credit.

this thread was simply supposed to be a question as to why do live production, without airing it live here in the states...of which i got a very quick answer too. not just a blatant complaint as to why no live airing of the 2nd moto.

i got no complaints about the actual production value of what fuel and mxsports are doing. its the best coverage dirtbikes have seen in my lifetime imo.

I watched it live on motorstv in the UK and what I don't get is that there was an awesome battle going on and they cut to the motocross files for a few minutes, or switch to some shit image of spare wheels in the back of a mule. WTF
