Not on my part, I like a challenging game. It's not about winning or losing, its about wanting to become better at the game and keep my interest.
Here is a tip. The game is only as good as you are.
Thanks for your tip, but it didn't really do me any good. Elbows being down, and having giants on the bikes has nothing to do with how good I play. Limited tracks is another big issue.
If your IQ, clock speed, and mental alertness suck then the game will suck.
My ability isn't the issue. Is someone having a comphresion problem? The game isn't what I was expecting. I thought they would build off of Reflex, not start all over. Alive has Mototrax feel to it, and there is a reason they only made one of those.
For the faggots who need to level up on figure 8 tracks you might want to consider a sport like polo or crickets
Wow, taking things a lil bit serious huh? Another internet tough guy..lol Look, I don't have hours to spend on the same tracks trying to level up. So doing the short track seemed like the fastest way to get a 450.
Just because you leveled up on loser tracks does not make you a level 25, 35, or 50 rider. It makes the game worse actually. If you are a C rider on level 25 tracks with a full mod 450 you are fucked. Start over and learn how to ride. It is a new game. Just because you mastered Reflex does not mean shit.
Explain how it makes the game worse? Guess I'm fucked. Seriously did I ever say I can't win at the game? I said I don't like the way it plays, it feels like a step backwards. I actually have done pretty good at the game on some of the tracks on a 450. So it has nothing to do with how good or bad I am. I just don't like the feel of the game, maybe it will grow on me like it has for some others.
Settle down Francis, it's just a game and the topic is "First Impressions."
so what about all the turds complaining endlessly about the "Blaze" and "Takashi"?
I will buy every bit of dlc if it is realistic related. Real bikes, real riders, real tracks.
There is zero sense in having pro riders on fake bikes on snow tracks. I will agree with you on that.
I really can't say anything more than others have complained about. The guy is huge, goony, the physics are flat out CRAZY. I realize it's on a computer and adding tracks/bikes can be confusing plus it's very difficult to master, but why you guys would choose this over MX Sim is just beyond me. MX Sim has all the DLC you guys are waiting to pay for, quality replicas of real tracks (outdoor and the entire SX series), and the physics don't make me laugh at my screen. I realize it's suppose to be an arcade game and you can't really compare the two.. but I guess I'm spoiled already.
Nope
With three stars I now have the awesome selection of Blue, Red, Yellow, and Stock (Green).
Are they serious with this stuff?
I know it's just number plates and you don't even see them much, especially considering there are no freakin replays...but come on.
In what meeting did they sit down and say,
"Well...I think we'll go with Blue, Red, and Yellow number plate options...oh, and make the stock ones Green... yep, that's what we'll do!"
"Bruce, don't ya think we should have Black or White as an option...I mean, this is for the DLC OEM bikes. If someone payed for it... they obviously wanted their bike to be realistic?"
"Nope, I think Blue, Red, Yellow, and Green are just fine...I can't for the life of me see many people wanting white or black, let's not waste our time on that...
...Ok, moving on. Next item on the list is a very important one... how are the taunt animations coming?"
Pit Row
Nearly threw the PS Controller through the wall tonight, the online game play so far has been a little better than Reflex, but it is still so hit and miss, last night i played in private rooms with pretty much no problem, tonight in the public rooms , it would either not load up rooms, freeze in the next race selection screen or random drop outs.
So went back to single player and man is that getting boring, though i did find it a challenge to win two races straight, it was like the AI would step up a notch after i won a race.
Still no downloadable content for PS3 owners....... Well maybe the content is there but there is no way of accessing it! Wonder what JS compound is really like. Just want to spend the next three months doing what he is doing, riding around by my self while everyone else races.
Other topics on the meeting agenda:
snow on the track
goon rider style
throttle hand on start line
The taunt animations are coming along just fine
The physics are good but as some have said, the bike feels heavy, then at other times it feels terribly skittish and wants to head off in a random direction. This was not an issue with Unleashed so I guess you could say that I was hoping for better gameplay outta the box. Perhaps this will change once I get off this underpowered, wheezing, generic branded 125?
Lack of tracks in the beginning stages. I'm at Level 7 and damn near burned out on the game. I've raced these two tracks so many times I could do it blindfolded. At what point do I get to play something different? Christ, the monotony of it all!
Taunts. Well, this is just embarrassing. I'm sitting in my house all alone and I get embarrassed when they do the taunts, that's not part of MX, never has, never will be. I can honestly say that I have never had thoughts of flying the bird as I passed someone. Could've done without the huge boobs on the 30sec girls as well. It gives the game a GTA feel for a few secs which IMO, we really don't need.
I'm still on the fence as to whether it was worth an hour and a half of my hard earned pay. Hopefully it gets better from this point and starts to feel and play the way I think it should. So far it's not as bad as some have said but it's really not as great as others portray it. Guess I'll grind it out for a couple more hours with fingers crossed.
Another thing that's popping up is the friends list that shows fastest laps for that particular track show at least 1 bogus lap time in the group, everyone would be around 1.38 in my friends list but there would be one dude with a 57 or something bogus.
"... how are the taunt animations coming?"
Well, Bruce. We went back to the drawing board on this one...had to make sure we were going in the right direction.
I sat down with Max, Benny, and Skeeter last week to make sure we're all on the same page. ...and from what I saw, the animations are pretty well dialed in at this point and exactly what we're looking for. The crew spent about a week in the motion capture booth collecting data on Darrell, the night janitor, who as we all know suffers from chronic arm spasms. ...From everything I've seen he did great job for us so I put in the request to HR to put him on retainer...we'll definitely be needing his services in the future. ...oh, and on that note, Doug from I.T., pitched this great idea for DLC where we could have additional environment features like Wacky Waving Inflatable Arm-Flailing Tubemen, you know, like the ones you see out front of the used car lots... ...Golden!
Anyways, don't wanna get too sidetracked here... our testers are working hand in hand with the animation crew to make sure everything is implemented perfectly. I guess they ran into some issues where they couldn't get the taunts to activate in the middle of railing a berm or blitzing the whoops... so they're still getting the bugs worked out with that but I've been promised they'll have it all squared away and firing on all cylinders by the time we go to beta.
"Sounds great! ...And don't forget guys, we've got Tyler Bowers coming in on Tuesday so make sure our character modelers have their schedules clear.
...What've we got from the environment team this week?"
Oh not a whole lot, Bruce, Things are coming along nicely. We had a team go down to the Maricopa County Fair last week for the figure 8 Demo derby...we wanted to make sure our short tracks were up to snuff so... we're working hard on that.
Also, Holly and Meg are out of the office this week...they're up north gathering pics for our Alpine Motorcross National tracks.
I think these tracks are gonna be a big hit with the fans of the MVA franchise. Our industry insiders are always talking about the evolution of the sport and we wanna be on the leading edge of it...
Gone are the days of the 909 empire...the 907 is where it's at in 2011!
"Top notch stuff guys...and gals! I'm really proud of everyone. Keep up the good work, and I guess we'll see you all next week.
...Oh, and remember: next Friday... is Hawaiian shirt day. So, you know, if you want to, go ahead and wear a Hawaiian shirt and jeans."
every game has haters, but this one seems to take the cake with 3 year olds with a rash on their ass.
game isn't perfect, that's apparent, but here we are on page 18
