im sick of you guys saying you want realism, the more realistic they get the shittier they are. unleashed wasnt realistic but 100x better than this shit. thq needs to go back to unleashed roots.
change is good. the game is good. is it perfect? no, but i have yet to play ANY perfect game.
quit bitching and either play the game or don't. i for one really enjoy the game and really enjoy the online.
and no, THQ doesn't make me say that.
Madden, Tony Hawk, and Nascar games have all been great! Perfect no, but pretty close to it as far as games go.
Imo, they need to cut out the cartoonish stuff, and just make a real game. Taunting? Really? Maybe they are marketing it all wrong? Showing riders running into each other is lame, is that really the selling point? You can run ino the riders and not fall?
Change is not always good, change is good if you progress and make something better. Change, for the sake of change isn't always a good thing.
It feels like a hybrid of Reflex and Pure. If any of you haven't played Pure, it's like an extreme arcade ATV game that just flies through fantasy tracks at ridiculous speeds.
The grind to level 10 (you only have 2 MX tracks until then) is pretty brutal and if I had not been a die-hard MX fan, I probably would've stopped playing after racing on the same tracks 3-4 times. It gets old. Fast. My advice, do the snowy short-course track over and over. It's quick, and you get the same experience as the regular MX tracks.
I turned off all the assistance stuff before I played the game, and was immediately shocked with how drastically different the handling is compared to Reflex. Of course, at first, I absolutely hated it. But as you level up your vehicle, and learn how important the reflex stick is, it gets better. I'm on the fence on whether it's the right or wrong direction from Reflex rider handling. It's hard to say because I've read the better the bikes and parts, the better the handling and whipping is. The tracks and cornering are definitely for the better though.
So far, it's just been a silly head-bobbing arcade racing game to me. The gear looks rad, the bikes not so much. I was a HUGE critic of how goon-ish the riders looked in all the previous demo videos, but 1. you get over it, and 2. changing the gear to something you like can help ease the pain.
That's pretty much all I have to say at this point. It's too early to say any major opinions on the game, but then again, the first few hours of any game is going to make-or-break what the average non-mx xbox player is going to think of the game.
right now, i think it's a HUGE step above reflex. have you played online? have you played the game for more than 10 hours? has anyone that is bitching about it?
Pit Row
for me, the mod250f is just awesome. online feels good, i've yet to have problems getting into rooms or problems with the rooms not starting. i've spent a lot of time playing and i really like it.
i'm just tired of the endless bitching from some of these guys. i hope you enjoy it for the sole fact that i think it's a great game and i can see the improvement.
Love how it feels good when you land a jump right almost like your riding. Love scrubs and such as well I love customizing the bike with hubs, chassis and such. Graphics really appeal to me.
Peelout, your pouring it on a little thick and I think you know that.
The online might be better , but the gameplay isn't thus far for me.
