JS7 Dealt A Bad Hand In Sin City
Posted on 05/08/2011, 1:48 am, by Ryan Cooley, under Blog, Events, News.
“JS7 Dealt a Bad Hand in Sin City”. The headline pretty much sums up what James has been feeling throughout the bulk of the 2011 AMA Supercross series. Though he’s the first to admit that some of his misfortune has been brought on by his own mistakes, there’s no doubt that bad luck and a series of bad hands got the best of James’ title hopes in 2011. With 16 grueling rounds of action already in the books and the championship all but out of sight, JS7 rolled into Las Vegas hoping for a series-ending win to highlight an otherwise up and down season. Unfortunately for James, a win just wasn’t in the cards tonight in Sin City, and the mighty number 7 will have to wait until 2012 to grace the SX podium once again.

Bad luck? Which misfortune wasn't brought on by his own mistake?

I think RC said it best when he said you make your own luck.

WHAT! Im pretty sure I watched every race and thus am pretty sure I saw JS7 crash out of races again and again. I don't remember JS having any mechanical DNFs, stuck starting gates, or red flagged races while leading.

I think CR may have something to say about this.......... now there's a man that was dealt a bad hand - from JS.

And I love JS, he is rad as fook and fast as too!

bad luck and a series of bad hands got the best of him???

James was dealt a lay down misere hand (again for the umteenth time) for 2011 and he totally screwed it up (again) starting with the Brooks sacking.

Who writes this bullshit???

Did he ever come out and say what really happened or is LB still having family time? Did I miss it?

He has already been on Twitter to guarantee that he will win the plate next year. I thought maybe this year would have opened his eyes to the new reality, apparently not.

Wow. Luck is part of the sport for sure. Reed was unlucky that Stewart torpedoed him in Dallas. RD was unlucky that his chain came off.

But crashing when nobody is around you? That is a very broad definition of luck.

I could definitely be wrong, but I'd say it's about 50/50 for James to win another SX championship.

RV and Canard will be able to run 99.9% of his pace with better consistency, and Reed and RD can run 99.5% of his pace with way, way better consistency.

It will be tougher next year to say the least. Hopefully he comes into next season a little more prepared and has his head screwed on strait. We all know he has the speed to win......it's just making it to the checkered flag is what counts.

He has to really learn what the word " Consistency " means. Without , there will be no hope.
