Hello, Im wondering what variation of the Suzuki 200cc 2stroke would be most desirable in race form? Im assuming its the RM

I have a titanium lite 2008 rm125 frame laying around
You assume wrong, the letters at the end of the model...
are the model year...
K = 1989
L = 1990
M = 1991
N = 1992
P = 1993
R = 1994
The TS200 is a trail bike, it was not available in "race form", it's was never designed for racing.
Thank you for clarifying that. I wasn't planning on racing it. I was thinking about setting it up in a full race trim and having a expansion chamber can make or break a motor made.
Im trying to find out if the factory race team had tinkered with it like the ktm200
It is making 22ft lbs of tq stock with a 30mm carb
The TS200 was a trail bike, the factory race team would never have touched it, there is no race trim.
You can't compare it to the KTM 200, which is an enduro bike designed for racing.

You could very well be right. But its gonna be a trailbike with way too small of carb which makes it run well on the bottom end.
As you can see they sell a race 35mm carb already

It may have also had powervalve issues?
If you can DIY fit a 38mm PWK STIC Super X carb, it will have full race spec performance from unstoppable lug ability thru to peak HP and extended over-rev. A huge contrast in power for my stock 200SX. Regardless of exhaust and port specs.
It makes a stock 125 run with top riders on race modified engines costing thousands of dollars. Words from a father of a son racing top US regional amateur nationals.

Very cool bike. I never seen any mention of this 200 smoker. Should be a fun ride. I'm always with a 200 ready to roll. Simply too much fun and they don't use a lot of energy to rip on.
Its more of not listening to screaming little 125 engine. Because the either 2016 or 17 the motrex motors shared by husky,gasgas,ktm,125's etc are capable of 45hp at the wheels.
Found this engine will definitely need a much larger expansion chamber than a 125 https://youtu.be/WNjy6vsP5Yg?si=kgh9krjPHfJRAMQT
200cc Suzuki 2stroke may have had powervalve problems but its making as much or 4 lbs of torque more than the 2024 yzf250 and that's with a 30mm carb
The stock pipe on it is similar dimensions to a stock KTM XC design. Defo bigger than that YZ FMF pipe. The TS has a longer head section like a a 250 pipe, the 125 is much shorter in that section. I'd think there are no options available regardless. You could cut the pipe open and remove any perforated sound deadening metal. If the pipe is heavy, it has it. I did that on a KDX200 once.
The engine should mount into later model RM125's. At least what ever years used that gen cases.
Of course you could always install complete RM front end, rear shock, plastics and those pegs. It's likely more expensive to re-valve and spring the old suspension and it would remain inferior.
Yeah this is made to run around on the streets in Europe, Japan or Taiwan while looking like an actual dirt bike. If you can get RM or RMX suspension and brakes on it you might be able to have fun in the dirt. Baffled pipes are bad for horsepower and the stock silencer is probably choking it off as well. Street legality (if that's important to you) is going to vary by state with these imports. Is the VIN 11 digit or 17 digit?
