I’ve got a 2008 ktm sx250 and wondered if anyone has had this problem before or if it’s just how they are. When I’m at a race meeting on the start line, with the bike in gear, throttle wide open with the gate about to drop the bike creeps forward a bit, I have to hold the front brake. I can put the bike in to gear perfectly fine it doesn’t jump forward, it can sit there idling in gear fine too. I can rev the bike whilst in gear fine, It’s literally just when I’m in gear with it wide open it creeps slightly? Absolutely everything in the clutch is brand new with genuine or top of the line parts. New oem master, hose, slave, pushrod, Hinson basket, oem hub, Hinson pressure plate, oem clutch plates.

I don't have experience with that specific bike, but it doesn't sound unreasonable to have that happen especially with cold oil. If you adjust the clutch lever to where its comfortable for you and bled the clutch, there is not much else you can do.

Most pro's will actually use the front brake during start and have the clutch grab on purpose a bit anyway.

I installed a new clutch basket I bought 3 yrs ago.  Put it in gear and the bike creeps forward.  The plates are a little wore not much though.  Why you think it’s doing that ? Bike is 04 cr125

The only time I ever had this problem on a hydro ktm clutch, it needed to be bled, fluid change won’t hurt either…
