I’ve done a few “deletes” due to that same kind of insanity these last few months.

It’s interesting, between the death wishes and straight up hatefulness, I’ve gotten to the point where I’m …finally…realizing…

There’s only a few of us that I care to “converse” with anymore. One of our fellow members and beach-town bike riding bros was kind enough to point out who is/isn’t worth conversing with in regards to some of the conversations I was having.

Quite a few threads over in moto go off the rails quicker than ones here.

I can't for the life of me understand being a moto fan, and focus so much baggin on the guys lining up every weekend. 

But there's rarely a thread there gets past a page or two before rider loathing enters.

And just like the TDS girls here, it usually involves the same 3-4 riders that aren't even the subject of the thread.

And yeah, the Anderson thread should have been shitcanned long ago.

sad to see. iconic sport figure dealing with injury after injury and getting hooked to pain pills, he's not the first and won't be the last.  but he's probably one of the bigger names that is going down the dark road. i feel for him.

It's Origin-something-or-other (his avatar picture is a pretty sweet 78/79 YZ). He's one of the dipshits who couldn't take the hint the first handful of times he was banned. 

And credit where it's due, Reese deleted his Trump post in the original Tiger thread and apologized for bringing politics into a non-political thread. He also edited the political stuff out of his post in the Pups thread.

Do we already know what he used? Is he back on using too much oxy and other stuff for his back?

I haven't seen anything saying what it was, but between his back and his leg (last car accident), some type of opioid only makes sense. He apparently blew .000 on the breathalyzer, so it wasn't booze.

The truck driver, whose trailer buzzo hit, was the one who helped get him out of his vehicle.

Was also found with two hydrocodone pills in his pocket.

And plead not guilty today.

Going to be interesting to see how this is plea bargained down.

Anyone who doesn't think that this guy doesn't regularly get behind the wheel wasted, is clueless. 

Kinda related John Daly story (since he was in the original meme of this thread)- back around 1991 I worked as a valet at the Crescent hotel while I was in college.

John Daly was in town for the PGA tournament and stayed at the Crescent. He was new on the PGA tour but already somewhat famous for his long drives (and partying reputation). 

He sure lived up to it from what I saw, he had valet parked his Lincoln Town Car (rental) so he and a friend got it out around dinner time. 

About 11pm his car came racing around the driveway to the hotel main entrance, ran up on the curb/sidewalk, overshot the entrance, and skid to a stop (still on the sidewalk). He and the other guy, now with 2 fairly hot girls (7/10 from memory), all but fall out of the car and stumble to the elevator. He hands me the keys and a $10 bill (not too bad for 35 years ago). 

Security had to go to his room twice later that night (after midnight) due to guest noise complaints. But he was at his tee time early the next morning...

Sounds like he's, "stepping away" for a while. In order to get his shit together. 

In other words, his attorney makes him check into a rehab spa and avoid the legal consequences of his actions.

BITD, Daly was an unknown. We were at a practice round at Colonial, watching the par 3 8th.

Behind me I heard a smack from hell on the par 5 12. The box was pretty close to where we were sitting,  and even not seeing the swing, the sound made me utter "God damn!".

We decided to go watch that, and stood by the box as he hit another. This time it was a "Fuckin Hell!!!". John looked our way and smiled. 

We follwed him to the next, par 3 13, and watched him practice that.

On his way to 14, he signed a ball and handed it to me.  He said: "A God dammit gets you noticed, a fuckin' he'll gets you a signed ball".

Been a fan ever since.
