Rode through the tree in Legget. Hwy 1 from Fort Bragg to there is about 40 miles of twisties. That section was just re-saved and was smooth as a racetrack, they haven’t even painted the lines yet. It was grippy even with my worn out Maaxis desert it. Lol. The way up we had some slow cars but the way back was wide open. It was the funnest time we’ve had on pavement so far.

The Corkscrew looks awesome. It’s a steeper drop than I thought it would be. Going through there fast on a race bike must be incredible
Awesome you're at Laguna Seca hopefully they do have some kind of action going tomorrow, and you can see them going down the corkscrew.
Seen many USGP's there as well as Superbike, I've done a few laps there with Jan on the back, it was FUN! 😁

That’s awesome G-man I’m glad you two were able to do that. I’d love to camp here for a super bike race. It’s probably more than the 60 bucks a night (with my senior discount lol) on a race weekend. But I’m going to look into it. This place is incredible. We can see part of the track from our camp and this place is pristine.

I know exactly where you are at, my buddy camps there and we met him there on the FZ1.
Good times.
Last “vacation day”was today. Headed home to reality tomorrow. Watched race cars while we ate breakfast, then checked off a bucket list item and rode bikes down the 1 through Monterey, Carmel and Big Sur. The road is closed about 13 miles below Big Sur. One of the bridges is getting worked on and one one lane but no big deal just a couple minute wait. Ended the day with killer dinner on the water. The whole area is packed with tourists, we pulled up and dumb lucked into a great parking spot and table on the water with no wait. Sold !

2 wheel mileage check over the 2 weeks, 34 miles on the e bikes and 380 miles on the dual sports.
It’s a wrap ! 2,608 miles later we’re back home and jumping into 2 weeks worth of bs. I’m ready to go again and we’ve been home 1/2 hour. 😆
Time to start prepping for the next one
We spent a week riding (bicycle) bikes through the Carmel / Big Sur area a few years ago. Jealous you got to do it with a motor!
Absolutely love it up there though.
Great road trip report and yeah, I'd love to meet you up at Laguna Seca one day to camp. But beware, you have to book way in advance and it's very expensive.
The fact Moto GP no longer goes there really bums me out as well. Although just the whole atmosphere is really cool. 😎

Hell yeah, it looks like you had fun.
I'll be taking a road trip of my own this weekend. Taking the wife and kids for a drive because we just want to get out of town. We're going to head up to I-40 and then mess around on Rte. 66 for a while. I understand the town of Seligman, AZ is the inspiration for the little town in the Disney movie Cars, which was (and still may be) my 18-YO daughter's favorite movie when she was little.
We're going to stay in Flagstaff, then check out Sedona and then visit some friends in Phoenix. Should be a nice weekend.
