I’m hearing rumors of Kansas City and Philadelphia. Also hearing that Atlanta will be going from the speedway to Truist park.

Next Friday it’s coming out.

From what I was told today, no Kansas City, still St Louis.

I heard we’re going to Philly and somewhere in Alabama.

Atlanta is either changing back to Mercedes Benz or is totally off the schedule in ‘24.

We’re not going to Oakland, we’re back in San Francisco instead…THANK GOD!

Back in Nashville.

Jersey, not Boston for ‘24 (those two flip flop some years).

Salt Lake still the finale.

I heard Detroit or Tampa is off the schedule, not sure which though.

Is Seattle rumored to be on the schedule?

If they are really going to Alabama that either gonna be Barbers or Talladega.

I would have to agree. Even though i live in Alabama, Atlanta is still closer for me and all interstate.  I thought maybe one day Monster Mountain might get a national.  I never even thought about a sx coming first.  Either place is fine with me.  Hell, maybe we get both!!

Atlanta Speedway turned into my favorite race! That bums me out and I thought the speedway loved us.

The new dome in Atlanta has strict security for our bikes going into the stadium but not so much when they leave the parking lot with people who do not own them😡

Unfortunately, this is true. Thieves are a real problem at the dome..

I don't believe it's at a car track, I think it's stadium.

That would narrow it down to Bryant-Denney in Tuscaloosa, Jordan-Hare in Auburn, or something in Birmingham, either Legion Field or the new Protective Stadium (either of which will rival Atlanta for theft outside the stadiumCool).

There's a reason "The First 48" likes Birmingham...

Just looked at Protective's schedule and Monster Jam is there on March 23rd.  Draw your conclusions from there.

There is that protective stadium thry built for the world games in Birmingham. It sits only about 47k.  The georgia dome used to sell 65-70k tickets for our southern supercross. I think barber would be better. Downtown bham might be shittier than atl.

Either way its open air which for our rain forest'ish spring weather is a crap shoot.

Not sure about SX at barber but would be great venue for smx or even man made outdoor track. I can't really imagine Auburn or Alabama bringing something like this in and with both being public institutions the word would probably be out already. I'm guessing it will be Legion field and might want to make that one a day time race.....

I was thinking same thing.  I was over there yesterday in a bham suburb (granddaughter soccer game in Helena) and as we were driving thru we were discussing how bad that dump has gotten. It was once a proud steel town, now a run down cess pool.

Its got uab (hospital) which keeps most of us having to go at some point.

All true statements but I'm convinced Birmingham is going to be next southern city to explode and experience revival. Nashville and Atlanta are full. Everyone still wants to move south. If I were a rich man I'd be buying up downtown Birmingham. Maybe supercross will be the spark that lights the fire!

We all better hope like hell it’s not Legion Field.

I'm 95% sure it's in Birmingham. Not sure if it's Legion or Protective stadium though.

Hopefully the new one. Bama used to split home games between legion and Tuscaloosa but around 1995 im pretty sure it was determined the upper seats were no longer safe enough to use so they went full time to the school for games.

They still use the stadium though, at least they were. Either way, that place might be in a worse area than oakland was. I attended the rescheduled round of Oakland sx last year and while the stadium was fine the area around it looked a lot like the area around legion field.

I hadnt heard the first sounds/whispers or anything at bama getting a race. If it comes ill be there!!

Oh, it's gonna explode alright.Laughing. It's #3 nationally in murder rate per 100,000 people.

And it's been passed as the largest city in the State by both Huntsville and Mobile as folks flee the crime.  It's a shame, because it used to be a wonderful city.

Huntsville is far and away the growth center of Alabama.

Birmingham metro area is still twice the size of Huntsville and Mobile. More people than those two combined.

And some of those suburbs are eff'ing nice and good places to live.  Im just not a big city guy. You can have the shit.  Im an hour from Atlanta or montgomery and 2 from bham when i want a big city.

Im the 9k people type town.

But i see what you are saying but i agree with the dave. Huntsville is where id go.

Would be super bummed if Detroit is dropped.  Hopefully that’s not the case.

JT was talking in a podcast how it seems these newer stadiums only wanna do concerts and their sports teams events. He said it was the reason the Las Vegas Raiders new stadium declined to host an event there. It would suck to see Detroit get dropped. I like Ford field.

I hate to see anyone get dropped especially the domed stadiums.  I know some say they love mud races. I do not.   I sure as hell dont wantbto stand out in the cold and get rained on as a fan.

Didnt they say sx was dropping back to 16 races this year to account for the supermotowatchamacallit series?

I remember originally hearing them say (when SMX was first being announced) that dropping a SX round was part of the plan for 2024 on, but recently it seems like people in the know are saying that they're sticking with 17 SX and 11 outdoors like this year.
