At a trailhead in Arkansas before watching the eclipse, I had just unloaded our bikes when several SXS's full of people and several kids on quads roll up. I thought, one of these guys is going to start doing donuts in the parking lot, which was covered with ~1.5 inch rocks. I had my rig all the way to the side of the parking lot and pulled as far forward as possible to leave lots of room. One teenager on a small quad proceeded to start doing donuts about 20ft from my windshield. After I yelled at him, he was very polite, but why do they always have to do this? Every freaking time it's either music so loud I can't hear my bike, or it's pelting peoples vehicles with rocks. Also note on the trail I saw several with coolers attached to the back, I'm sure they were for Gatorade and water....

I can't stand em! I've seen them turn nice single track into one lane roads. Whenever we have a rain they like to find any low spots in the trails holding water and make mud holes. We used to have a part of our trail where it was nice and twisty with large berms that took years to develop into solid banks in each turn. It was in a wooded area. It was a really cool section. Well when the quads and the SxS became popular they turned that whole area into a swamp when it rained. Effed it up for good. Funny how you will find beer cans out in the trails where they just leave them.

I started hunting with my wife's family at Big Springs campground halfway between Mammoth and June Lake in about 1987. It was a dirt spot with an outhouse. We went there almost every year until about 2007 then some life issues kind of derailed us. We started going back around 2014 and the place was trashed. The hills around it are scarred bad from UTV idiots that can't seem to stay on the roads. Signs? What signs. Big trailers and motor homes now that don't really fit there. The last time there was some fucking idiots running a construction style generator and blasting rap music until midnight. I can get all the noise I want at the track. I don't go to the Sierras for the noise.
