I am having trouble finding gear for my 3.5 year old. Seems like Fox and Astars have super limited availability in that small of sizes, especially for shoes (he's a toddler 9). What do folks buy for their little ones?
Might have trouble until he is closer to 4/5. I bought some gear last year for my son, I got Seven gear but was looking at Thor also. Seven and Thor goes down to 18" for pants and XXS jersey. Thor says XXS is 20-21" chest, I would imagine Seven is around the same.
We just bought a set of the FXR kids stuff, it goes fairly small. Youth is larger so make sure you click the right one. The fit is better than the fox set we had for my daughter when she was young.
Ansr makes stuff for little ones
Check out the Fox PeeWee line. We used the boots and roost guard. Make sure you are looking for "Kids" or "Toddler" sizes. Most brands' "Youth" sizes are roughly ages 7 and up.
The Shop
Fly stuff is some of the smallest i could find for my daughter.
Regarding boots, I would look at Alpinestar Kid's Tech 3..they go down to size toddler 10.
For a chestprotector I went with a Leatt Chest Protector 2.5 Mini, they are for kids 3'7" - 4'5" according to their website. It's lightweight, but should provide protection from a handlebar in the event of a crash.
My son wears all Thor gear and protections (chest, knees and elbows) plus Alpinestars boots and neck brace.
Cheers.
Buy Canvas MX. Their size 22 pant fits way tighter than anything out there and super comfortable.
A Honda PW?
LOL thats the brand the family rides so he following the tradition (It's a brand new pw actually). Kid hauls the mail too.
Can't go wrong with a little FXR. My daughter just turned 4.
