I’m hanging up the boots right now. 3x SX champ: say no more, go out at the top. Cash that championship bonus check and retire; enjoy the quiet family life. Revel in the cemented folk-hero status and walk off into the sunset.

Great job Webb. I counted out the #2 even getting a win this year, let alone the title. I’m happy I was wrong!

He signed another 2 year deal with a possible 3rd. If he's still healthy why not race? At minimum he just keeps adding to the wins and passes Dungey. He may even win a 4th.

I like that idea…BUT…hard to pass up on a couple million dollars a year for the next 2-3 years. That’s money that can set up generational wealth for his young beautiful family.

In the post race presser. he said he loves what he's doing.    Why would he hang up the boots?

Not to mention he gets to ride around next year with that great big #1 on the bike.    Given that he gave Jett a run in 24 and topped one of the clearly fastest guys (Sexton) for that #1 plate this year proves he's elite level.

Or.....make at least another $3,000,000 doing what he loves to do. Yeah, that would be a difficult decision right there.

At the minimum he never wins another race again, or gets hurt.

I’d go out on top for sure, if I was financially good. If not, I’d keep collecting the check aslong as I could.

He needs to hold on long enough for Vialle getting up to speed to be his replacement.

Meh…take the time off that’s required for a successful repair….isn’t it his ulna-carpal ligament?

If he pulled off a Championship with it broken/damaged/detached…? Imagine what he could accomplish if he gets repaired…again…successfully…& takes the necessary time to heal…?

And let’s not forget that he really seems to like winning. 😂

Going out ‘on top’ sounds good, but the top SX/MX guys aren’t quite in the same league as the top stick and ball athletes. It’s a short window to make a significant amount of money and if he can squeeze out a couple more million it’d be hard to walk away from.

Coop said he has made plenty of money. It’s all about the love of the sport. Some people just love the grind.
