There's a guy on Instagram "throwbackmxguy" who I've seen do a couple of old silencers for resto jobs. I mostly see him do old carbs and refinish various other old parts.

I can vouch for Brandon at Front Range. He did a pipe the pipe on my 1990 CR250 build. He's friendly, serious, communicative and fast... 5 stars on Yelp!

I’d have to say he has the fastest turn around I’ve seen..

DV builds a fine bike, and sounds like this Front Range joint is the real deal, every time these threads come up it's all glowing reviews... Shame a few more places in moto aren't as reliable as these guys.

He's a member here, so I hope he jumps into this thread. He's an absolute artist with old bike parts & his IG posts are some of my favorites.

He has my XR75 pipe right now. His pipe skills are impressive as his welding. will post pics when I get it back and ready to put on the bike after I repaint it.

I had an FMF pipe for my '92 KX 250 completely flattened and wrapped around the engine cradle. The bike wouldnt start it was so bad. Not for HT (Harvey Treadwell, Mike's father) pipe repair. He fixed it up and ran out the season with it. In New England, major pipe repair is common.

Probably depends on the material.

I'm going to guess that if it's aluminum, no. If it's a muffler...maybe.

I'm pretty sure he's using some heat and pressure, so given the unique shapes of a muffler, it might not be cost effective.

Just my guess.

I have been trying to reach out to Front Range Pipe repair and haven't gotten a response.

Is Brandon still doing repairs?

The last I saw was that they shut down and were not accepting any more work.

Front Range is still active on all socials. Just looks like they are really busy.

Wow, I had been checking for many months last year and there was no activity.  It looks like they started up on Socials again a couple of months ago after a 80+ week hiatus. I am glad he is back!

While we're on the subject of exhaust... has anyone heard of "re-anodizing" an FMF 4.1? I had a bent subframe and too weak of a rear spring and rubbed the blue anodizing off of the side of the pipe from contacting the tire. Gotta have a blue pipe, worth at least 10 HP.
