How is the moto scene in/near DE? Looking at a job opportunity up there closer to the beach but all I can find is Snake Creek MX (Still open?). It looks like I’d have to drive a couple hours to get to anywhere else decent to ride a state away which isn’t very alluring. Overall I’m not really drawn to the area otherwise and if the riding scene isn’t very good then I’ll probably pass up on it.
Yeah Delaware used to be nice for moto they had blue diamond , seafood , and snake. I like snake creek fun practice track , but sadly blue diamond, seaford closed down years ago. The landing Mx is close to Delaware . Maybe check field of dreams in jersey. If you’re into MTB they have good trails around Newark. I’m from Maryland used to ride in Delaware a lot but snake creek the only one still going. Obviously Budds but I’m sure you know that .
I moved to Seaford DE last year and haven't had time with work to hit a track, but I never see any updates on the SnakeCreek Facebook page anymore... are they definitely open? Was thinking of trying to get over there in the next few weeks. Would love to know if there are any local spots! I heard there's a private sand track in Camden but haven't been able to track down who owns it
It looks like The Landing would be the next closest option at about an hour and a half away if Snakecreek isn’t operable anymore. Budds would be about a 3 hour drive from where I would be in DE… Moto is pretty much my only hobby so it’s not looking like the state for me.

I lived on the eastern shore of MD for a handful of years. It's a beautiful area with the beaches, seafood, etc. but don't move there for the riding! I really had no choice but to sell my bike after Speed Citi closed. Closest place to race was Budds. Hadn't ridden at the Landing in years cause it sucked, NJMP was too far, Snake Creek seems to go through phases of openness. Getting back into riding was ultimately the reason I took a job offer elsewhere when I got it.
Horrible state for motorcyclists in general. Snake creek is the only option right now. 2-3 hours gets you into D6 in Pa. Or Budds creek and Va. tracks the opposite direction
First thing I thought of when I saw this post
Snake Creek is still open but they limit the amount of riders there per day on the weekends. I think they cap it at 20. You have to call or text them ahead of time to reserve a spot and they go quick for each weekend. It's an awesome track though.
Man even talking to non moto people I don’t hear a ton of great things about the state for me. Looks like I’ll pass. Appreciate everyone’s input!
Lotta stuff to do in the dmv area, not much dirt bike stuff though.
I’m sure there’s tons of cool things to do and see there, but no moto no Ricky 🤷🏻♂️.
Near the beaches your screwed. If you’re in the Wilmington area though lots more options. Pagoda is my go to track up here. About an hour and 15 min away. Field of dreams is in Millville about an hour away. Dutchmen, happy ramblers and sleepy hollow are all in the 2-3 hour range. Same for budds. If you’re into scrambles/enduro though Delaware has lots of options. Lot of people ride the trails by the canal up here and have very little issue with the police. It’s kind of a don’t be an idiot we won’t bother you agreement. Just my 2 cents.
