I forget where I read it, but this year he said he is going back to his roots and focusing on having fun (riding and bike builds) vs. chasing the SX series.  I think he is going to do some races, but not the series.  I think if someone made an offer for a ride, he would jump though.

I have been watching last year's west coast races killing time on the treadmill lately, it pains me that he doesn't have a ride, he was never in the LCQs and always a top 5-10 rider, and his attitude you could not ask for more.  Who knows though, last year in November I saw him breaking in some new YZs at Riverdale, and a month later he was on KTMs getting ready for A1, maybe luck will change this year as well.

For sure, I don't want to blow smoke up his ass and I'm a fan of pretty much all those guys out racing, but he's an awesome dude and deserves a decent ride.

He’s such an easy guy to root for. Hope we see him at A1 at least.

He should run the 250 2 stroke.

I agree. I thought he was older, but I guess he's only 23. I don't remember him ever being a podium threat, but if he raced a 2 stroke he would have the crowd behind him. I know that has been Stank Dog's gimmick, but I think Carson is quite a bit faster and would be more likely to put the bike in the Main Events. But again he has talent and I thought he was older than 23. So hopefully he get's a good ride and puts in some good results. If not and he rode a 2 stroke, that would get him a ton of fans and airtime at the races.

I hate being that guy, but could you imagine the bikes he’d race if homologation was not an ama rule? Not saying he’d make the main. But it would still be cool to see a 23 inch front wheel get in the night show.
