Is a 110 worth it?

Have been looking into getting a 110 for a while now, I just can't decide if it's worth it or not. It seems like they are so much fun. They go for around $4000 in Australia. It's a lot of money for a bit of extra fun, when I can just ride my 250. Is it actually worth getting a 110?

Me and my buddies all have a blast on ttr125s and xr100s.

Bit more leg room and a bit more similar to a big bike, taught me how to ride ruts!

Our sport is about enjoyment. If you’ll enjoy it, it’s worth the money you’ll spend.

If you can afford it…

If you’re actually gonna ride it…

YES! It’s worth it.

This is coming from a guy that just dropped $3,700 on a bicycle (but it’s a $5K bicycle).

Im in the process of trying to get my daughter to ride. We bought her a ttr50 that she grew out of (and the wheels were to small for the bumps) before she rode it more than 5 times, then a TTR110.

She is quite shy and needs a lot of encouragement (hence the dirt bike experiment, to try and give her some bravery/courage etc).

At our MX races during the summer, she WOULD NOT ride without me being close so I was running around chasing her in full MX kit (minus helmet) just dying in the heat.

Eventually, I said F*** this and bought a KLX110 L. It is totally stock.

We now ride together and have a ball. I've doubled her on it on the full MX track (I'm 200LBS +, not light, so that's no mean feat) and have ridden the full MX track on it by myself many times.

It's a ton of fun.

BUT if you are doing it by yourself, I suspect it would get boring pretty quick. If your doing it with ANYONE else, you'll die from fun.

IMO.

In stock form the 110s are pretty slow and gutless and you will need taller bars etc so they are cool bikes to have but they need to have some money put into them to make them fun, also look into the Piranha or YCFs because they are pretty fast out of the crate. I have the YCF150mx bigy and it has been awesome with plenty of power but I did need to put stiffer fork springs in it.

Just get a used one.

Just get a Talaria or Surron E-bike. The Takaria XXX is $2995.

If you have a place to ride and the time to enjoy it, then yes it is probably worth it. If you have friends that have them, it only makes it better and you’ll create a ton of memories.

Here in the US they hold their value pretty well so there isn’t much to lose in the long term, if you can find a good deal. You just have to control the urge to buy aftermarket parts. Cool That’s the tough part. Lol.

Absolutely... This will be worth more the day you sell it than what you paid for it new.

My kids started learning on KLX110's and I rode them a few times but at 180 lbs the 110 was the greatest. We got the boys KLX140's as they got bigger and that's a fun bike for an adult to ride.
