I have a '22 KTM 250F

The manual states to press the TC and Map buttons simultaneously while the bike is in neutral and idling, and then the MIL will flash rapidly to show it's activated.

I tried this dozens of times with no luck. When I push both buttons simultaneously, the TC and Map lights will flash twice, and the MIL will flash once - that's it - no rapid flashing whatsoever. Am I interpreting this wrong? I thought the MIL should flash rapidly, and stay flashing until launch control is off

Note - The TC and Map switches both work fine - I can turn TC on or off, and change maps no problem.

Same on my 2021, not sure what happened. I do run a Carrot ECU but it has worked last year but now i get same behavior as you, minus the MIL blink - i get zero.

It works on my 350. It doesn’t work if I start the bike and rev it at all tho, it does as you’ve described. If I ride to the track then shut the bike off and restart it then hit both buttons and hold it works.

Tried that too multiple times. Still doesn't work. Very frustrating

Take the front number plate off and check the wires and connectors closely. These wires are super tiny and delicate and the connectors are prone to dirt and corrosion. Problems with these wires can make the function of the switch or the indicator light whacky.

I'll check them out. you'd think if the wiring or connectors were bad something else would be going on too, but the bike runs great otherwise.

Hey guys an update here. Took my bike back to the dealer. They were nice enough to check it out even though race bikes don’t have a warranty and it’s been 8-9 months since I bought the bike.
Anyway it turns out the gear position sensor wasn’t communicating with the CPU. They re-flashed the CPU and now launch control is working as it should
