It can be hard to run the oil that you really want to, we don’t get Honda hp2 in Canada anymore due to the container it’s in, our laws won’t allow it to be imported into the country it’s dumb as can be, it’s such good stuff, I run octane boosters in my bikes, instead of race fuels, I tried c12 and u4.4 in my YZ250, and the feel between those, and torco accelerator+94. I didn’t notice enough of a difference to warrant the extra costs of of race fuel vs chevron 94 plus torco, it makes for 104 octane before oil reduces the rating, and the cost per litre is dollars cheaper. Also, kinda feel that 2 strokes don’t need the faster burn rate that race fuel offers, as any extra burn goes right into the pipe making the pipe run hotter for better pulse return strength, also why I retard my ignition timing 1-2d cooler cylinder temps, hotter pipe temps, smoother longer powerband, but the new ktm’s have a static magneto pickup, it isnt changeable, I had to take my pickup appart, on my 2016 125sx and with a small round file, oblong the holes to shift the pickup forward to retard the timing a degree.

Torco has always been my go to. Even with timing retarded 1 degree my YZ’s seemed to need some Torco mixed in. Shell 91 pump with no ethanol seems to be working fine in the TPi bikes.

I am the “typical” guy
Yz250, stock motor, dep pipe
Yamalube 36:1, 93pump 50/50 with renegade 110
no splooge, never fouled a plug, starts easy, change plug for new just because. So really good plug life.

Here is my piston, let me know what you think

Not bad at all, very very low carbon build up, seems to be working rather well, what plugs are you running?

Motul 800 on mx and motul 710 on trails. going to try bel-ray SI7 for trails soon as it 50% cheaper than motul
