Iv heard of lots of people having issues with it, snow bike 2 strokes, Iv heard lots of people having issues with jetting, and even my experience with it has been that negative temps; mess with jetting, and even when jetting for it, still having issues ... more »

You must have never ridden a 2 stroke in negative temps

That's strange, I installed an 8oz on my 03 that was ported, and it was amazing how much more power it gave my bike, from bottom to top, it was hands down healthier at any rpm, and especially aided top end and over revv

Find a stock yz250 flywheel, bolts right up and works like a charm, I did this with my 06 yz144 and it was a very very welcomed modification, engine felt stronger everywhere, and screamed way harder up top, flywheel weights are quite possibly the most ... more »

Check the slow jet as well, should be a #55 stock, but they did come with two sizes of slowjets in the factory jetting kit that gets sold with new yz250's

I ran a pwk36as in my 03, and loved it, it felt like it smoothed out the entire delivery, and way better bottom end and roll on, and for what it minused up top, actually made the power feel longer and revved out cleaner than the pwk38 I had in it, felt ... more »

Well, with the cold temps, you may have just ran the carb out of spec, due to the colder denser air charge needing more fuel to run proper, this does happen on cold days with 2 strokes, it can bring the fuel/air ratio to a point when there is enough ... more »

Every jd jetting kit Iv ever had, has always made my bikes run lean, crisp on the stand, lean bog when hot and under load, even tried running their needles in the 5th clip, and my bike would still lean spike on the stand when trying to tune for their ... more »

I love the pwk airstrykers design, the two air vanes that concentrate airflow over the jets to improve carb signal are awesome, and I have found always to be an improvement over a mikuni on every swap Iv ever done, which is more than a few. But there ... more »

The 2003 ktm 250sx's jetting is a good baseline to work with as it was the same pwk38as that you have put in yours, that's what I based my buddy's 2017 250sx and it fired up and ran beautifully, and he hasn't complained or rich

Front fender and number plate, that's aboot it without modifications, it does help, the stock front is a space shuttle look alike, even the 2016+ ktm fenders look more at home than the stock one does, Iv had both on my 2015 tc144, I posted pics in another ... more »

Canada ran 250t in the mx2 class for a few years, first year they allowed fully modified race prepped 250t, the next year it was exhaust and carburetor modifications only, no porting. Kaven Benoit won the mx2 championship in 2014 on a ktm 250sx

The 2016 front fender bolts right up, and does well for the bike, the stock 14/15 tc fenders were..... space shuttle looking to say the least, the swap definitely helped it and doesn't look overly out of place, I also did a 2016 sx front fender and number
