Does anyone have a complete parts list for a top and bottom end rebuild on a 2003 CR250R? I am worried I will miss some bearings or seals in the bottom end really.

I was going to contact Service Honda, but they have closed up shop it looks like.

Thanks!

Go to one of the OEM parts suppliers online and do a search for your bike parts.

2005-07 cr250 crank (02-04 crank is a horrible design)
pro x piston kit (made in oem japan factory)
oem 05-07 base gasket (thinner than 02-04 helps fix port timing)
pro x crank bearing

anything pro x is as good as buying oem.

I would just go on rmatv and buy everything these

I'm not sure if the 03 will benefit from having the cylinder base or head shaved, but there is a ton of threads that involve the 05-07 CR 250's. Eric Gorr seems to have a lot of info on 02-07's, he might be worth contacting and he's easy to get along with. Just an idea.

Right, I know how to check the parts fiche and all. I just don't want to miss anything.

I was hoping someone might have a list already compiled, such as Service Honda. Not asking someone to tell me which parts to buy. Just hoping to save myself a little time and effort.

Pretty sure I have everything you need in my shop right now for my 03. Do you need a crank also?
I would be happy to box it up and ship it to you.

I would look into the Wrench Rabbit deal... Apparently it's EVERYTHING needed when doing a motor job...

Hey boys I’m about to bite the nail and order a new crank for my 03 cr250. Hot rod doesn’t make a kit for my bike. Will the 05-07 hot rod kit fit the bike?
One option is the wrench rabbit kit for 530. Anyone have experience with that kit?

Why cant you send your OEM one to get rebuilt? That is better than either of those options by a mile

better chance I’m buying a new oem crank before I go that route. Only issue is there is a wait and my buddy doing the work leaves town soon.

Anyone have experience with the wrench rabbits bottom end kit? Or know if any other year cranks/parts will fit in an 03? Hot rod doesn’t Make a kit for the 03 cr250s (from what i am seeing from the bto sports page.
If I were to buy parts separate, I’d be buying crank, main bearings and seals and a gasket kit. Am I missing anything? Thanks for any help, I won’t have time to post tomorrow until late and would like to order the parts as soon as possible

Don't understand why people go the hot rod route or any other shit route while you can get the 05-07 oem crank. Same as for the piston. The oem piston or the prox piston is such a crap on a cr.

I dont think anyone here is going to tell you to get a hotrods or wiseco crankshaft. Buy a new oem or get yours rebuilt(which is cheaper btw)

I have an OEM 03 CR250 crank that was pulled out of a good bike when I parted it out. No play in the bearing.
$50 + shipping?

In my book there is only one way to do it.

1. Print out a parts fiche.
2. Disassemble motor
3. Inspect parts
4. Circle parts needing replacement on the fiche
5. Pack up
6. Go to PC
7. Order circled parts
