Hello
Just got a 22 ktm 150sx. Looking for some gearing and Power valve tips. I tried 14/50 it was ok. Stock PV setting. I have a 49 to try along with a 13 front. Wondering what other people have tried and how it works on the track. I have a lectron and V-force on the bike now. Stock exhaust still
thanks

PV depends on you. I like the stock spring around 1 3/4 turns in from all the way out.
Don’t go with a 13 front no matter what you do. It changes the chain angle and will put the rear suspension in somewhat of a bind and affects handling. Do some math and figure out the ratios and make a call from that. 13/50 = 3.846(most bottom end less top) 14/53 3.785 13/49 = 3.769 14/52 = 3.714 14/51 3.642 14/50 = 3.571 14/49 = 3.5(most top end giving up bottom).
the stock carb with a jd jet kit still kinda sucks. I am gonna try this lecton and see what it does. I have a 49 so i will try that as well. What about the power valve? Should i just play with it until i find something that work?

I have tried stock gearing, 13/49, 13/50, and tried 13/47 today and that has by far been the best gearing I have experimented with. Still plenty of power to pull 2nd through the corners and you don't have to shift quite as quick on the exits. Going up in teeth in the rear sprocket just causes 2nd/3rd gear to run out way quick in my opinion.
