I've been searching the web, trying to find out what separates the CRF100 and the XR100 (except for the visuals). I also bought the Mini Dirt Rider issue last year, where they did a 2008 Dirt Rider Midsize Playbike Comparsion on those kinds of bikes and from their verdict, the CRF100 seems the most fun.
Seems some say the XR is the older version, but from what I can gather, they overlapped each other for some years. In other words, something should be differente or? Can it be as simple as the XR being more “offroadish”, even mellower engine and other gearing or?
Beeing beaten by the bug of having your own little backyard track again, I've been looking on CRF and XR100 ads. We still haven't sold the TTR90, so the youngest son still have that to play on if so. But I'm looking at getting a 100cc for me and the oldest son, eventually getting one for us each if it is as fun as I want to believe...

And this video with Canard is pretty cool, making the urge even bigger.
Are there any people on here that can help out?

The XR name is the old name; CRF is the new name. Same bike, though with updates from time to time over the years.
