hey guys..im having issues with my 450 sputtering pretty bad at like quarter throttle..wide open it runs great but and when i'm rolling the throttle on coming out of a turn it bogs pretty bad and when i take it down the road and hold it at quarter throttle it cuts out..i've cleaned the throttle body and even have checked my fuel filter in the tank..just wondering if anyone else has had these similar issues

check your spark plug wire and maybe clean air filter make sure its sealed

ya air filter is good..it does it when its clean and its sealed..i will check my spark plug wire for sure tho

Also check and make sure your wires are all tight. Let us know how you make out.

well i checked all the wires and made sure they are all tight..and checked the spark plug wire..everything seems fine..this is kinda frustrating me..this is my first EFI bike and it runs worse then all of my carbuerated bikes ever have..

keep me posted, i have nt had a problem with mine at all(knock on wood) don t give up on the efi, try thumpertalk also for info on engine problems!

my friend had to reprogram his 08 when he put a pipe on it. Make sure your pipe is installed correctly and isnt leaking then move onto programming it

I have the same set up on my zook fmf megabomb full system and yosh mapp no problems, make sure all the pipe is connected tight!

Have you seen my post on my '10 Kawy 450? At least your RMZ runs at full throttle and has a tendency to it. My Kawy just sputters whenever it feels like it. I have discovered my problem is heat related, though. It is my first EFI bike as well and I thought it was great until now.

You need to have the EFI remapped for that exhaust.

really? cause a couple of my buddies have the same bike and both have exhausts on them and never remapped there's and they run great

Check with FMF tech support and get their opinion on the mapping with that pipe, mine was mapped with a yosh mapping system,

Different exhausts need different mapping, some work better than others with the stock mapping. I've heard others say they had to remap for their FMF exhaust.
