Most significant ... 1975 on the RM125S - went from Jnr to Pro and managed to beat some of the guys who would become champions of our sport.

That was the 1st Anaheim (High School Race) in "75" you got 2nd at, I remember that race like yesterday, You & Glover Battled until the very end.
Most $$$$ rewarding, going 6th,5th,6th and 10th in the U.S. Off-Road Championships in 1997-2000. \
Everyone of my 3,000+ motos has been great though.

It was December 12th, 1975. American Motocross Finals is what they called the event, and you're right, the half-time race was the high school state championship. There were some very good riders there that night, including Mark Lawrence, Bobby Jones and a whole bunch of other guys you probably never heard of. Broc and I were teammates at DG Performance. I don't think Dave was riding for them at that time, but I could be wrong. In any event, I remember it like TODAY, and it wasn't quite like you remember it. Moot point, though, same result!
I was behind Broc until the 2nd to last lap, when I caught the rear brake pedal of my Elsinore 125 on the ground in a right-hand hairpin turn, stalling it and bending it straight out to the right. It was a common problem with those Elsies in the first couple of years.
Not to take anything away from Dave Eropkin's excellent ride, but I had him covered on that night, and neither of us were able to challenge Broc.

You are right, I think Dave and Glover battled for a few laps. Dave was riding for PK racing on a all white elsie, I just remember his long ass hair hanging out of his helmet. All you guys were lightening fast back then, so my hats of you. Funny, We have crossed paths numerous time but have never really chatted, other than me getting a laugh out of watching you and Knobby throw barbs at each other. Great race at the Final wasn't it.
