Hey guys, I just bought this little cutie and had the urge to show it to you all :-)
I have this stubborn back problems (spinal disc) that bother me since the last 12 months, so I can't ride my dirtbike. There are also twins coming this summer, so the predictions are not that good that I will be able to ride motocross this year a lot. So i thought I need a substitute so that i can at least ride a bit in the little free time i have left.
I know, I will not be able to jump any triples with this bike, but I am sure it will be fun to ride this cute old school MASCHINE.

It is a 1953 BMW R25/2 but has a engine from a R26 (which were built from 1955-1960).
It's amazing how reliable this bike is. After nearly 60 years it still starts with the first kick.

Is this a diesel bike? I know Enfield builds diesel engines in some of the bikes, but yours doesn't look like it's a diesel.
Do you have any pics of your 650?

The beige R25 in the last pic looks awesome.
You guys have some real nice rides there, sweet bikes.
Only gets ridden to a show if its close by.
A question, cause I am curious:
Is it something really special to own a old BMW bike in the states, or are there quite some of them around?
Like do you see them often on the streets or just on some special occasions?
