TGI Friday's - Chicken and shrimp and loaded mashed potatoes. If not that, probably Outback's chicken breast and loaded baked potato.

Ruth's Chris steakhouse! Last time I was there I had Austrailian farm raised Venison in a Blackberry sauce. Their Tuna appetizer is delicious also.

Casa Caletas Hotel in Costa Rica not one bad meal, got to the point where I didn't order I just told the chef to do her thing.

This little Hatian joint in Echo Park has some of the best chicken I've ever had.

My house, between my wife, my oldest son and myself no restaurant can come close.
We could win that iron chef contest like RC does moto events.

Ok sorry. My favorite is a French Bistro in Peachtree city Ga. called Paschals.
Paschal is from the Bordeaux region of France and that dude can cook like there is no tomorrow.
His menu is fresh and creative and his customer service skills have no equal. He makes this cocktail sauce with Vodka and when you put it on a fresh Apalachicola oyster and chase it with a French champagne you get a little vision of heaven.

You can't beat New Orleans food. Hard to pick a favorite - you can go in just about any local restaurant here and get a nice fried trout or redfish filet topped with crabmeat and hollandaise sauce, or something similar to that - hard to beat.
For fast food, Popeye's chicken (which was originally started about a mile away from my office). I eat there about 2-3 times a week while at work.
For steak, Ruth's Chris Steakhouse can't be beat (also started in New Orleans).

Favorite local fine dining:

As for large chain type of stuff, I like Claim Jumpers and Buca de Beppo.

Maggiano's is a pretty nice "chain" Italian restaurant, also.

Forgot about that place...Joe T's--excellent. Forgot about Pappadauxs...awesome too. I miss Jason's Deli also. Ruth's Chris is also great...love their burgers.

Shit...there's soo many I like and they're all so different.

The Cliff House in San Francisco. Been there since 1858. Best crab sandwich you ever ate & the view is amazing.

I've staggered out of that place a time or three.

You remember when you came in the place through the kitchen? They'd have people lined up for a block to get in.

For something quick it would have to be Schwartz's Deli in Montreal. The very best smoked meat sandwich you will find on the planet. End of story. No muss, no fuss, no pomp, no circumstance. Just good food. Get a pickle with it. You won't be sorry.

Just down street from Schwartz's is another great place called Moisha's Steak house. They're good, but if you find yourself in Vancouver then I think you'd agree that Gotham Steakhouse is even better. You couldn't go wrong either way, both are a notch above Ruth's Chris.

KAWboy, I ate there several times when I was in Texas on biz.

Their crayfish etufe is AWESOME!!

Funny story:

The first time I went, I had one of my employees with me, and he seemed nervous for some reason.

I asked him what was up, and he said, "Man, there's alotta black people here."

I said," Yep. It must be good!"

Hey Geezer...if you really want to discern what a good seafood restaurant is...look for a lot of Chinese people. Maybe there might not be many Chinese in Texas. But, wherever you're at, if there are a lot of Chinese eating there, it's gonna be good seafood.
