I should say that I wanted to get one until I started checking the prices!!!!! Unbelievable!!
I ended up getting a REAL boat with a REAL motor that was longer and better for less money!!!
I hate those f-ing wave runners. The kids around here get them and run 70mph up and down the lakes. It makes it hard for us drunk boaters to drive safe!

DeCal Works Huge Plastic Inventory of UFO and Polisport kits.
We had a pontoon before and I was ready to "move up".
Here's my boating history (although we always had boats as I was growing up)...
We bought a $2,500 pontoon to see how much we'd use it.
We used it a lot and bought a $10,000 pontoon (much nicer and faster).
We used the newer pontoon a lot, so the Chaparral was the next step! I plan on taking it to Florida this summer too. We have a condo that is right on the intercostal water way. I think that will be fun cruising up and down!
I want to get a house boat SO bad. Unfortunately they don't give them away!
Pontuna's can be fun . We used to have a party barge. It even had a keg fridge on it!
I loved our pontoon, but it's nice to be able to run 50 mph now!!
BTW that's a pretty sweet ride you got there, Huck. I don't feel so bad (about the SX series) for you now. You appear to be living pretty good.
Believe me...If I was truly living good, I'd post a picture of something like this...
The SS Debauchery
My sister has had one for around 7 years... she just bought a newer (2002) 70' somerset.
It's freaking awesome!!!!!
I'd stay on it most of the summer!!!
It kind of sucks, last year they moved my boat to the "house boat" dock. Now, I have to see them every time I go out!!!
Nothing like taking the pontoon boat to the middle of the lake, drop anchor, open a beer, fire up the hibachi and get a lil sumthin'-sumthin' on the high seas.
Before we bought a boat, we'd just jump in with our friends. I'd pay for all the fuel and usually bring the food...but we wanted more...
I love going out on night rides. Or after I get off work, grab the kids, wife, and a bucket of KFC. No phones, no emails, and me and the wife watching the kids splashing and playing in the water. Nothing compares to that!!!!!
Pit Row
Most of our lakes are nothing but rocks and bluffs. However, there's and island (Probably 300 yards x 100 yards) that is nothing but sand. Boats are lined up to get a spot in the summer!!!
Our summer plan is...Dive in the morning...go back around 11:30, pick the family up at the dock...drink and cook on the grill.
But they sure are fun!
So true, cops just want to give everyone a DUI these days. BTW, water balloons will keep them away if they try to jump the wake behind your boat.
Anyway anytime at the lake is a good time for me, espeically out here in HELL.

You actually do own the wake, at least for 100 feet and that's the law. Problem is those retards who hang out by the launch ramp on rentals don't.
Yes the retards on the rentals give PWC's a real bad rep. Just like the nimrods at Sycamore on Quads with no helmets and a little kid at the controls....
We were skiing and I fell. My brother whipped it around to bring me the handle, and 2 PWCs bombed the wake between me and the boat. Well Bro came and picked me up, and we chased after them. They have a lake house near us, and bee-lined for it. We got about 100' from them when they went ashore. Guy #1 ejected, and did the "Face-feet-face-feet" deal about 50' into their yard. Guy #2 made it further up the bank, and planted into the handle bars.
Dad come charging out to see WTF, and we explained what happened. He was still pissed (Not nearly as pissed as me) and I offered to come ashore and explain boating rules in a more "Hands-on"" way. He declined.
After that, every time we skied when they were out there, they left...Perfect.
