Wow, I had never actually seen the foamers go off before. Was that actually planned or was there a "glitch" causing them to go off inadvertently?

here's the best part.

It was a PANYNJ employee, I guess he was fucking around with the panel and blew it off. Looks like the taxpayers of New York and New Jersey just bought themselves a few E190's...

1 A320 and three E190's were hit with the foam. The A320 and one E190 was completely closed up, they did an engine swap and a gear swing and flew a confidence flight a few days later.

The other two E190's had all the panels and doors open including the cockpit windows, and those airplanes are pretty much toast.

You can see where the foam is about up to the windows, those windows are a good 8-9 feet off the floor.

I like how in the videos all the mechanics are just taking pictures with their cell phones and the only thing they pulled out of the hangar was a few ground power units!

It's been an interesting week at jetblue, this weekend a ramper fell asleep in the belly of an E190 in JFK.

He woke up in Boston!

A 21-year-old JetBlue employee rode from New York to Boston Saturday in an airplane’s cargo compartment, officials said today. “Even after talking to him we were a little uncertain as to how it happened,” said David Procopio, a state police spokesman. “This may have been accidental.”

The man, whom police would not identify because he was not charged with a crime, was working in a cargo bin at JFK and somehow found himself stuck below the airplane, with the luggage, when the plane took off, Procopio said.

Panicked when he realized he was no longer on the ground, he phoned JetBlue officials from the air, he told state police.

A medical team evaluated the man after he landed at Logan International Airport and found no signs of injuries. The matter was turned over to JetBlue. In an e-mailed statement, JetBlue spokesman Bryan Baldwin said the company is investigating the incident, but would not confirm any details. Baldwin said the company only flies two types of aircraft, both of which have pressurized cargo holds.

Procopio said he did not know how the stowaway got back to New York.

If the foam ruins the plane, then why not just let it burn?

We pump that stuff out with our CAFS System, That’s compressed air foam systems for you lay-people. Yeah we can pump equivalent of 8500 gallons of foam into a room in minutes essentially saving every living organism just covering it with Protein Foam or Ansul Foam Fire. We aint letting anything get away from us. It’s a big party for sure.

Here I am doing a demo... check out my new suspenders. That hat is new too.

Suck it. you know you want one. Maybe I can hook ya up.

That system was activated at John Wayne years ago, at a facility that used to be called Sunrise Jet Center/Newport Jet Center. Not sure what its called now.
