Any of you guys put up lights this Weekend?

Do you go for classy and clean or Clark Griswold?

Just a string of lights on the fascia, and my international symbol on the chimney.

I fucking hate Christmas lights, especially when they get all tangled in storage. I couldn't be bothered untangling them.....................

I gave up on lights. Last year I took all the crap out the attic, untangled the lights, tested each string, and they all worked. Put up all the fuckers and half of them didn't work. When I was a kid I always thought that when I grew up and had kids I would really deck out the house with some serious lightage. So much for that idea.
I wouldn't mind spending some money for a quality light display that I knew would work, but I'm tired of fooling with cheap shit that never works. Might help if I knew what the hell I doing, of course.

When I was married I was all over the huge lighting display. Up on T-giving weekend. Down the week after new years. Now I have a few strings of old school big lights and I even light them up on the 4th of July.Cool

ha....my neighbors took theirs down in July because I kept complaining.

My lights are bad ass this year. No Clark, but I blew a fuse because I had so many hooked to one outlet. yep...that made me proud.

just a few nice and classy, my gf's mom went all Griswold...some clear some colored some all blue a giant santa and a small deer on the roof. Basically she said nevermind matching just hook everything up. I wont even begin to descride the maze of extension cords that powers this monstrous cluster f*** of lights but its enough to make Thomas Edison roll over in his grave

I am trying to keep it simple since I tend to lean towards the Clark Griswold side of the fence, but the kids keep pestering me to put more and more up so who knows by the end of the season.

Bethany - Is your house on fire, Clark?

Clark - No, Aunt Bethany, those are the Christmas lights.
