the world cup starts this weekend in England, any fans on here,
the All Blacks (New Zealand) are favourites again, but we have a long history of choking at the world cup, esp when it is played in the northern hemisphere, I think Aussie, South Africa, Ireland and England are in with a shot, if we can't win i would love to see Ireland win it,

We've (Aus) got a good chance but have a tough draw.
Praying for a NZ choke.....
But really hoping we see expansive type play this tournament, nothing worse than seeing the Poms (of old) and Boks stifle games

first weekend has been a good one, some great upsets,
Well we're topping Pool A for now anyway so I don't mind being linked to the underdogs
I have a bit of a soft spot for Argentina, I went to see a the top of the league clash between Mendoza & Buenos Aires and witnessed around a 1,000 disgruntled Mendoza fans chase the ref off the field at the end of the game! Hilarious but not the sort of thing you normally see at a Rugby game.
Also went to see the All Blacks train in Dunedin while I was there - just before they hammered England in 2004!
Looking forward to Australia v Fiji on wednesday.

jamma, your right about the Argies, they have gotten better over the past couple of years since the inclusion in the rugby championship, and even beat SA at home this year, with a team going into the super 15 in 2018, and one from japan also, both of those countries will be better for players playing agaisnt the top Kiwi, Aussie and Saffa teams ever week,
a test in Buenos Aires is on my bucket list for sure as well,
Should make things interesting I guess...

for England not to take the points and the draw was just stupid, as a draw and a win against Aussie would get them though, where as they can still beat Aussie and not go though to the finals now,

Rugby World Cup 2015: New Zealand stars given sleepless night in Cardiff following stunning Wales win
The world champions are in town for their clash with Georgia, but their night in Cardiff was not a peaceful one following Wales' Twickenham heroics
All Blacks players were kept awake in their Cardiff hotel last night by Welsh supporters celebrating the famous Rugby World Cup win over England.
The New Zealand squad are based in the Hilton Hotel in the city centre as they prepare for Friday’s clash with Georgia at the Millennium Stadium.
And on their first night here they were greeted with the cacophonous noise of Welsh fans rejoicing following the 28-25 victory at Twickenham.
“I don’t think some of the guys got a lot of sleep,” admitted second row Sam Whitelock.
“I managed to sleep through it, but you could really hear the supporters out there enjoying the night. It was awesome.
“Cardiff is always rugby mad. Last night before the game everyone was out in their tops. It was cool to see that and the boys enjoyed seeing how supportive the Welsh people are of their own team.
“You get that rugby-mad vibe every time you come here. It’s an awesome city.”
The 68-cap Whitelock says the All Blacks are relishing the prospect of running out at the Millennium, which he rates as one of the best grounds in the world.
“It’s definitely right up there. It’s awesome having a roof over your heads,” he said.
“The noise echoes around and it’s a cool atmosphere. I know the guys will enjoy a dry ball and running rugby as well.
“It’s an awesome atmosphere in there. Every stadium around the world has its own little vibe and this one here has an awesome vibe to it.”
Crusaders star Whitelock is hoping that Welsh fans in the ground will be backing them come Friday’s Pool C clash with the Georgians.
“The supporters will get behind both sides, but hopefully they will be more on our side,” said the 26-year-old.
“It would be great to have them on our side and backing us up.”
yeah it made the news here, did not really think it would be any different,
