the pool of death is getting interesting, Wales can do themselves a whole lot of good with a bonus point win against Fiji, (bonus points are scored by getting 4 or more tries a match)
i am a massive rugby fan, for the last world cup i was in england and had to do the same with games (get up early adn head to a pub to watch) this time im back here here in NZ doing the same thing,
sundays game will be brilliant, alot on the line,
Tony did you get my email last night? I blinked and missed whether not it went through??
I would have to say England are slight favorites, but the pressure on them is huge, they are calling this game like the final,
these are the two teams I dislike the most in world rugby, i really don't know who i want to lose more,
we have only won 2 world cups, (they have been every 4 years since 87) and both of them have been at home,
and to be fair, they have not looked awesome so far, but we have the easy pool, due to our number 1 ranking, i think its pretty close come the knock out stages, and some of the teams can knock over the all blacks, Ireland and Scotland and Argentina have never beaten the all blacks, and Wales last beat them in 1953,
Average age: England 26.5 - 27.4 Australia.
Weight of scrum: England 896kg - 913kg Australia.
Lancaster's England 2 - 1 Australia.
Head-to-head at Twickenham: England 13 - 9 Australia.
Head-to-head at Rugby World Cups: England 3 - 2 Australia.
Rugby World Cup 2015: How England can still qualify from Pool A and reach the quarter-finals
Pit Row
quarter finals are looking like this,
NZ v Ireland/France
South Africa v Australia or Wales (next weekends loser)
Ireland/France v Argentina
Scotland/Japan (Likely Scotland) v Australia / Wales
you reckon you got the aussies covered? the loser takes on South Africa in the quarters,
Aussies highly unlikely, I can't see them losing a game this year. I'm tipping them to win the World Cup.
South Africa, meh, maybe. Depends which side shows up... But if the Pumas can beat them this year I don't see why we can't.
The important thing is we've progressed further than England, so job done and all the Welsh are happy whatever happens next.
England will be back though, still an England rugby fan.
