The rumor was that Anstie is going to ride for Lawrences team, but will be riding a KTM instead of the teams Yamahas.

It was on Racer X but there's no proof or concrete info on it.

Wey would probably quit before he got back on a KTM. The only rider that might be on one under the Lawrence tent would be Anstie.

YEP its true.... and also you can count in another AM rider that already rides blue bikes!!! hmmmmmm his dad rode blue back in the day also! Wait they were white back in 94 hahahahahah.

christian craig.. would make sense seeing that monster sponsors him heavily. I heard Monster is runnin out of money and getting ready to pull the plug on J-Law and his Agent if results dont start coming in.

Wey Is on his way out. If Wey races SX next yr he will not make the main most of the time. The KTM was a great bike when he rode it. Wey just sucked. That Yami he rode in SX must of been junk because he was brutal on that also. 100% rider 0% bike.

Will he still be getting factory support from KTM? Looking forward to Glen Helen, I reckon Max has a good chance at a podium considering his recent showing there.

He was at the LL qualifer at Lakewood this last weekend and didnt do so great. I think his best overall was a 3rd in the 250s and 5th in both the 125 and open classes. For all the hype on him I would have thought he would have won all his classes but then again the results page for the SRAC is all jacked up so who knows if that is how he finished.

I wouldn't get my hopes up if I were you. There were just a couple (dozen) fast guys missing at that prequel...

Anstie is as fast as 90% of the riders in the lites class right now. If he gets a start he will do fine if not he will be like the rest of the field and have to work hard for every position. Stroupe and Dungey are the only 2 riders that have the speed to cut through the pack.

Not as fast as 10% of the guys on the track already has him off the podium, so i'll stick with my comment. After seeing him at Oak Hill this year, I'd put him around Lemoine/Hahn/ Brayton/Sipes/Tickle, etc., etc. speed.

The guys you mentioned have been on the podium. Anstie is better than all 5 of them. And so is Barcia for that matter. It all comes down to the starts in the lites class. You are only as good as your start. Except for Dungey and Stroupe. Those 2 are the Lites riders that have proven they can get to the front if they have bad starts

I agree about starts being crucuial...Max better be practising, I got ten bucks on the line! In all seriousness I just want the kid to do well. Not really got much hope for Searle! Title-wise, I think it will be close between Stroupe, Dungey, Rattray and Pourcel this year.

max pulled away from lemoine ,searle,tickle,wharton ant the 4 stroke natls...i know its a diffferent atmosphere than the big show but..same track...i hope he does well

Really? When? I may have forgotten, but in the 30 or so Nationals I've been to since these guys have turned pro, I don't remember any of them getting up there (and I can't find last season's results anywhere).

How about this: the original point was that Anstie could potentially podium. To do that, he'll have to stay in front of (at the absolute minimum):

Pourcel (former world champ, east/west winner)
Dungey (heir apparent)
Stroupe (heir apparent #2)
Rattray (current world champ)
Weimer
Canard
Metcalfe
Searle

And let's be honest, at least 5 or so more. Possible? Mmmm... I'm guessing not, but hey who knows.

Don't get me wrong, I like Max just fine and have seen him ride 85's, 125's and 250F's a few times over the past couple of years. He's fast for sure, but come on - think of his competition and the fact that he has zero experience. Ain't gonna happen.

i dont think barcia or anstie should aim too high in the nationals. I think that if they bite off more than they can chew its gonna set them back a bit mentally. the key to turning pro is staying within your own riding limit otherwise there going to take some big soil samples.
I think barcia and anstie will be in the group of riders including, searle, clarke, lemoine,
hahn etc but the front runners are definatly going to be pourcel, stroupe, dungey, rattray, wharton, canard.

I can tell how fast they are by how long I have to wait for them to come by after Villopoto or Stewart go past... or worse yet, RC. The most boring 90 seconds in sports!
