I still want to know who Hanny took the **** out in the turn before the finish line. I was third base side in the upper view section watching, right in front of the finish line.

It looked like he was racing some guy for last place in the LCQ, on the last lap, in the turn before the finish, and he TBoned the crap out of a lapper and then just rode off with the other guy after the finish line, talking to him.

Was there any footage of this on the Speed coverage or any pictures anywhere? I got a retweet from Matthes with my version of what happened and twitter blew up with people calling Hanny a dbag and etc.

I didn't see that one in the coverage, but there was good footage of the questionable move he put on Nicoletti earlier on. It also showed the universe getting him back when he went for a somewhat desperate move on Chisholm and landed in the tough blocks.

Looking at the lap chart, #314 Alex Ray disappeared on the last lap, and Hansen was behind him on the previous lap. So I'd assume it was him

Yeah, it was Alex Ray.

You can also assume that taking someone out on the last lap of the LCQ in a battle for last place won't sit well with the officials.

I hope so. There is no reason for that crap and what he did to Nicoletti just proved to me that what I always thought about him is right. He is up on the list with JLaw and Freeze with me.

All night long we saw good inside passes in both classes where there was no contact or minimal rubbing. Hansen's moves are just so needless and appear sometimes to be gratuitous take outs.

I must have missed it?! So Hanny, after taking a soil sample, got up and leveled the next guy he encountered on the last lap?

Why would a guy like Kranyk go race with JH when he could go racing with a guy like Metty, who as I mentioned in another thread is a consummate pro? He is clearly off the pace, at least right now, and the class is faster than ever. If you don't show up with a clear mind and solid prep you aren't going to make main events. A least that is how it looked at A1.

Because Metty is injured right now and can't ride.

I'd pretty much guarantee that there weren't too many cameras aimed in the direction of last place in the LCQ. Plenty of people saw it, including officials.

yeah, not in the first race of the year in the center of the mx industry in the instagram era, nobody would be watching little Hanny implode there..

Metty was already inked in with the Star Yamaha team to do the 2013 outdoor series after he recovers from his injury before the Jeff Ward team imploded leaving Kranyak without a job. Josh Hansen was pretty much the fastest guy left without a ride that Kranyak could help out.

The thing is, it came as a surprise, and was completely unnecessary.

Quick quiz. How many photos do you think I've ever shot of last place in an LCQ? I'll give you a hint...it starts with a z.

The last time I talked with Metty he was still unsure what he'd be doing for '13.

Sure, zillion starts with a z, but that's not the correct answer. Smile

I wouldn't expect a professional such as yourself to be shooting this, and kudos for your shots!

I was more hoping some random dude in the upper level would upload an out of focus cell phone video with some bro brah commentary..

I don't know what Hanny was upset about. He's not a top 15 rider in the premier 450f class.

Yea I saw that and was in disbelief. He took that guy out for no reason. I hope he's not hurt bad since he was on the ground for awhile before the asterisk guys had to take him away on the back of the mule. Don't know what Hanny's problem is but I can't wait to hear what the officials say about it.

The move on Nicolleti was a bit dirty, but it was for the final transfer spot. The other one was just a bitch move. Karma got him in the end.
