I don't understand how he doesn't have a better ride. Who cares if he gets pissed easily. That is something that can be worked on. He is fast, works his ass off while spending his own money to get to the races and puts in solid results constantly.

I'd like to see him at RCH. Weston seems to ride the Zook very well. Would be nice to stay on the bike he is familiar with.

Congrats for the great ride. But not racing the whole series allows a guy like Weston to come out and be stronger than some of the guys who have been there week in and week out.

I would think it would be harder to jump into a series. I get what you are saying and how that relates to a long season and nagging injuries.

You could argue that not racing every week against the top riders leaves him at a disadvantage since he is not constantly exposed to that top pace. Regardless, he deserves a ride as he consistently beats guys like Tickle Weimer and Brayton who have good rides. not only is he beating these guys but now he is running them down and passing them.

Why won't his bike kickstart? I have read that aggressive cam timing can lead to hard staring. Or could it be something with the EFI mapping?

Well it sucks about MX but when you have burned bridges they dont get rebuilt. Been that way way too long in this sport. Even at the local level I've seen it way to much.

Most common is the head is trashed valves are not seated perfect, once it gets running they will snap closed and seal enough to run okay.

Bottom line is He is running worn out shit and doing awesome against guy's who don't get 1 hr on an engine before getting everything replaced.

could he have been running so far up front with internal problems ?

I know valve lash is just that, but wouldnt it change compression and all that jive while running ?

Like I said, it's just a guess but yes the engine can run pretty good with the valves not perfect, once everything gets hot and has some force on it they will seal up.

That's not to say He doesn't have a fuel or timing issue, I know the high compression pistons can knock the gap closed on the plug sometimes too.

i like weston. i hope he gets some help. but as stated earlier he wasn't the best with hs racer x interview after rock river didn't help him out or didn't have room left for him...then the kicking the bike off the stand in front of hte camera....the ongoing feud with freise. Not saying thats why, just that it kinda made him a hot potato for team managers (during an economic crunch also) when the rider is basically barely qualifying for mains.

that being said, his riding is starting to speak for itself. Someone should be able to overlook the hassles for the benefit he can bring to them as a team hopefully.
