Saw that. $8000.00 four strokes aren't selling too well right now, so neither are pipes for them. Thankfully, the guys over at FMF like the 2 stroke crowd as well. Now, if they would only make a porky head and a orange downpipe for the KTM144.............Smile

Just as how I found it funny that 2 stroke exhaust doubled in price once 4 strokes and their exhaust systems gained popularity.

Seriously, $300+ for a 2 stroke pipe/silencer? Glad my stock pipe works great with a buddies used shorty silencer.

so you're saying pipe/silencer combos used to be $150? I last had a 2 stroke in '01 and i seem to remember silencers were in the $80-$100 range and pipes around $175?

Yea I wondered the same thing and it really irritates me they jacked up the prices like that. A pipe used to cost 199 now from both big guys FMF and PC they are 299? WHat gives??????? I know they aren't investing anymore R&D dollars into them since 2 stroke developement has stopped .....really don't see a reason for such a drastic price hike when all they have to do is assemble them and not develope them.

The next time you neer a pipe and think 3 bills is a lot make your own! Even with the specs it ain`t easy. Never mind all the tooling. If you want cheap, go to PepBoys and buy an electric scooter! FMF is for Fast Mother F_ _ _ _ers!!! Sorry. Old habits are hard to break.....
