Love this sport, but this stuff sickens me

The following is from the D-37 message board...
It is with a great deal of sadness, that I report that we lost a fellow racer Sunday night. Mr Jimmy Finerty, an Expert Open racer, P690 did not survive surgery for a crushed lung and torn aorta. Jimmy had a high speed crash some where around check one of the Desert MC National, and was hit by his bike. He was able to get up and ride back to camp, where his family took him to R-3. Jimmy was transported by medivac to the hospital. He passed during the operation. Jimmy had taken the last year off from racing, and the DMC National was his return race. Previously, he had raced the National Hare and Hound Series for six years. He leaves behind a wife, Kacey, a son, and parents. All of DMC is very distraught over this unfortunate turn of events. Our heart felt condolences to the Finerty family, we all feel the loss. May Godspeed Jimmy

Greg McGrath of the Checkers MC Responded to Jimmy’s Passing with the following:
Dear Jim,
I hardly knew you, if I knew you at all. But I know what you where about, we loved the same thing and that makes us brothers.
I have questions, I'm sure you can hear me right now but you just can't answer, so I will suppose for us if that's alright.
How is the Desert on the otherside? I expect it is perfect, no whoops and soft rocks? I suppose your bike is jetted perfectly and there is no dust with awesome traction?
If there is no other desert racer by your side, can you wait for me? I will be along in time and we can wheelie beside each other for ever across that perfect desert and wait for our friends to join us.
End.
