Random question I know, but does anyone know the actual dimensions of a tuff block?

Not sure, here's a contact page for Dirt Wurx. Might wanna ask them as they are the only place I've heard that you can buy them...although they're crazy expensive.

Bale size varies a great deal.

the covers they make for the tough blocks are way to big for any of the bales you will find in the eastern USA.

Tuff Blocks actually come in different sizes. There are longer ones and shorter ones.

Tuff Blocks are junk IMHO. Until they figure out a safe way to either anchor them or weight them they are a huge step backwards in safety.

From hay bales? I've hit a hay bale before, and it broke my femur, so I can't see how much unsafer the tuff block is than that

One thing I hate about the GPs is the green liner shit that marks the edge of the track. Any sort of contact what so ever (may not even be a crash) and it immediately wraps itself into an indecipherable mess, completely locking up wheels and wrecking races.Tuff blocks may not be perfect either but they've got to be better than that indestructible green crap.
