It may not look like much now but this is being entered into a build contest. I'm beginning the total restoration teardown process in a few hours and the contest has to be finished by April 30th so I need your help!
There's not much on Google for pictures or details of the 2002 YZ 250 Bud Light Mcgrath bike given its significance. It appears tblazier had some content on Flickr at one point but access has been removed for viewing them.
Any and all details, pics, ideas would be greatly appreciated. I plan to update this thread often with build details, hurdles, and successes so those who are interested can follow. This is NOT a replica build and will be a modern version of what this bike would have looked like if it were done today as it was back then!
Also if anyone around here is good with video editing, and is wanting to work on a passion project with me, I have some awesome ideas for this build. Just hung up the phone talking to the greatest voice in supercross so stay tuned... Cool things coming soon 😎

Nice build, i love factory replica bikes that are done properly.
Should turn out pretty cool regardless , another guy in the contest is doing a full factory replica though of an earlier Mcgrath bike and I think he'll actually end up winning the thing, he went all out on this thing.

Which oil should I break her in with? Thoughts?
I ran into some issues today, it turns out I got the garage buddy wiseco kit instead of the wrench rabbit kit. So I'm scrambling this morning to get all the bearings and seals ordered from Rocky Mountain since the kit I bought wasn't complete but they're usually 2 days shipped to me so theres still a chance I can finish this build on time.
I have til this Saturday but I still have to rebuild both forks, shock, front and rear calipers, front and rear master cylinders, swingarm, linkage, and obviously the engine. Luckily it appears RMC has everything in stock!
