"Kent Stephenson had a bad crash today when the drain plug came out of his bike and it seized on a jump face. He broke 2 vertebra in his back from what I have heard he has no feeling from his chest down. The docs believe the spinal cord is severed. Please keep Kent and his family and friends in your prayers. He's headed down a rough road but I know Kent is a fighter and he can make it. He is at parkland under the watch of doctors. Just say a prayer for Kent and his family if you can. Thank you."

Horrible news. My family and I were in Arkansas for a Lorretta's qualifier just a couple weeks back and Kent spent a lot of his time giving me advice on starts and talking to me. We have known him for quite a while and he is a great guy and a great rider. He is definitely in our prayers.

Hey thanks for posting that over here mx356. Last thing I heard he is going to have surgery this friday on the broken vertebra I believe. He is a strong guy and I know he can get through this. I have been close friends with kent since 05 and spent many days at the track with him. He has raced almost all the amateur nationals over the years and I think his plans were to race most of the outdoors this year. He comes from a good family and I know they would appreciate the prayers.

I watched him race at that LL Qualifier a few weeks back too. Very impressive to watch for sure. Prayers to him and his family.

I'm not of faith so I don't really pray, but that's awful to hear. I wish him the best, and I hope he can recover. I'll keep him and his family in my thoughts.

Every time I saw him ride he always had on a Leatt brace so I'm assuming he did.
