Stroupe got punched out at Mammoth in '07 in the middle of a moto......there was some chatter then but now I'd call him a title threat. It's either him, Canard, Izzi, or Dungey getting the plate.

Searle Dungey Pourcel Stroupe and Lawerence MX2 nationals bring it on GP v AMA in the US riders backyard big advantage to the US guys but will it be enough to stop the GP speedsters?

In a neutral GP series I would say CP and Searle would be top 2, in the UK nationals Searle would beat them all and in France nationals CP would win- but it's big advantage to the US riders so Dungey will be up there he doesn't even need home track advantage to run with those guys imo and Stroupe JLaw and maybe BArcia could factor in?

does anyone have any information on whos riding what coast yet ? i'd like to see all the line-ups before i make my season predictions. BUT if i had to choose now it would probably be pourcel and dungey in supercross but the lites outdoors is gonna be a lil harder to predict because u have tommy searle now who is amazingly fast on wide fast tracks and so is pourcel, but i think if u look at last year, dungey is gonna feel like he has to win this upcoming season. As for the motocross class....well....im a huge villopoto and townley fan so im gonna say either of those two for supercross and outdoors

Sroupe has got what it takes, went to GH this year and witnessed it first hand. However,RV and that pro circuit bike he had had a lot to do with his success.I just dont see him cleaning up next year.

How many times did Dungey blow his bike up this year ? How many did RV. Weimer & Pro Circuit def could win it all. Im sure Mitch thinks so.

Are you saying he did in fact drop the 123 plate and went with 24?

Barcia wont come in until Millville so he wont be a factor for any of the 09 titles. Maybe int 2010? He was on the gas at Lorettas this year

No, Barcia plans to turn pro at the start of the '09 nationals.

there will be a lot of contenders in 09

Stroupe, Barcia, Wharton, Metcalfe, Dungey, Weimer, Izzi, Canard, Tickle, lamoine...all of these guys are fast and have run in the top 3-5 at some point.

From what we saw at the end of the year the series this year; the only guy that was able to run the pace of Villo was Dungey...After that there really wasnt anybody quite as fast. The thing Metcalf has over most of these guys is that he is still charging just as hard on the last couple laps...

I think Weimer is really going to shine on the PC bike. Hes always been a strong rider maybe a little inconsistent, I think mitch and crew will give him what he needs to get to the next level.

Pourcel and Searle will be bigger threats to Dungey than those guys with the exception of Canard. Searle smoked Metty at the des nations and he was 3rd in the series
