It's starting to heat up in the Valley of the Sun and with TRIPLE digits just around the corner we need to get in as many rides as possible.

Had a great ride with Dano, Dr. Phil and Larry.
We missed some of the Usual Suspects but still had a good day.

But we're especially missing our good friend Don and hope he can join us soon.

With a great rain during the winter, spring has sprung and has provided us with a lot of overgrowth and blooming Flora in the beautiful Sonoran Desert.

It's amazing the places our Steel Horses take us to.


Literally in the middle of nowhere in a Canyon, somebody built this Hideout, maybe some Banditio's?

Been riding with my good buddy Dano for a long time since I first moved to Arizona and we've had some great times thru those years.










Larry had some of the best homemade Jerky that I've ever tasted.

Looks like some damn good times to me! Doesn't matter if you're at the track , trail or off-road dual sport stuff. If you're on two wheels and having fun with your buddies , that's what it's all about. Cool pics btw.

Always love these posts, G-Man, almost makes me want to move to AZ. Then I remember that it gets up to a bajillion degrees in summer, and that thought goes away real quick.

Regarding the weather. I grew up in SoCal as a lot of you know and it would have never dreamt moving to the harsh Arizona desert and it's brutal climate.
But you learn to adapt and it's a dry heat! Woohoo

20 years ago it was awesome.. You could ride all through winter and then summer was the river and the lakes.. now the rivers and lakes are so overrun and dirty they're not worth it. It used to cool off in the evenings too but all the new housing from transplants killed that. I would have never left mesa if it had stayed anywhere near what it was growing up.

I use a converted single Jet Ski trailer to tow my bike on and if somebody wanted to steal my bike it would be real easy.

So anyway I had my bike loaded on the trailer and the girlfriend called me in for breakfast so I put on the lock that has a single key cuz I occasionally use it when I dual sport.

When I went to the gas station where I meet the crew as soon as I walked back by the bike and saw the lock, I had that oh shit feeling! Unsure

Sure enough I left the key about 40 miles away!

Thought we were doomed as I was the only one who really knew the trails out there.

Luckily there was a Jeep Posse and there was a guy who carried a lot of tools with him and happened to have a portable electric saw.

Whew that was close.
The day was SAVED! Woohoo

I agree with most of what you said, yes like a lot of areas that use to be a lot better 20-30 years ago.

Saguaro Lake which is 15 minutes from my house can be a madhouse on a weekend and we stay away.

We prefer Canyon Lake anyway (30 min away) to take the jet skis on anyway and way in the back it's like a mini Grand Canyon. The water is colder and also more clear.



Yeah I would love to live in Prescott too but to find a good job and I hear housing can be expensive as a lot of rich Californians have moved there.

How did you get so lucky to find a good job and home?
