nothing recent on twitter. TLD is good at getting PR's out and keeping us updated. Think good thoughts and prayers for the boys!

Oh man......hope they can get that thing fixed. A doctor once told me that trying to sew up a liver or kidney is like trying to sew together a bowl of jello.......nothing for the stitches to grab onto( maybe that was the spleen? ). Hoping for the best for Cole!

Heard concussion on that one. If you'd checked Pit Bits, you'd have known. Wink

Been there, done that.

I hope it's not the case. I wouldn't wish it upon my enemies.

At least the liver will grow back in time.

I don't have any kids. but when I do, I was planning to be the next Tony Alessi and create a moto champion to pay my mortgage off. haha. After this season, I'm re-evaluating the future of this un-born moto warrior. Just crazy how many people have been very seriously injured.

I saw some of the TLD crew today. The word I got was that no surgery will be required, and he likely gets to go home tomorrow.

Well, I guess that's up to his docs. Have you seen those relationship status things on Facebook that say, "It's complicated"? It's sort of like that.

The lacerated liver is apparently starting to heal up. But the artery supplying blood to one kidney was damaged, and it sounds like he may lose one.

From what I hear, he's still in a fair amount of pain, as well. Let's not try and rush him back onto the track too quickly.

Get well soon, Cole.

I'm actually pretty pumped that he opted to take the ride to the hospital, rather than trying to tough it out and then find out later that he had a much larger problem.

I did hear that while he was in ER that they'd cut his jersey off, and he wanted to know how long the exam would take, so he could get back to the track in time for the final practice. Smile
