Would be awesome but Reed has gone on record saying he will only hire someone who has a shot at winning. Nothing against Chisholm but I don't see him winning any time soon.

I know I know Peeley. But fuck he would have a guy to watch his back like he did for stewart on Yamaha LOL. Plus they get along and ride together now, wouldn't think it would cost that much, what a story it would be..

Plus wouldn't cost Reedy that much if he said here is my old bikes and parts, plus a mechanic, I will Haul your bikes and pay flights, everything elese is up to you with some sort of performance bonus..

I thought I heard recently Chisholm is a reasonably hot commodity at the moment. JWR and harts team were supposed to be interested, maybe chiz doesn't wanna ride reeds hand me downs.

You say it's probly fairly cheap but it still costs Reed something, bikes, entry fees, wages for a mechanic, flights etc etc. Hes running a race team not a charity. He wants a winning rider, he's got one already

No doubt Chisholm will train is ass off and be ready for the inevitable ride openings coming as team riders drop out due to injuries. Before anyone gets a panty cramp, I hope the answer is zero, but that's a pipe dream, so ... what is the over and under on the numbers of rides open due to injury after the first three rounds to SX? The odds are pretty good for Chisholm, imo.

Yeah if Reed grabs a second rider, he should totally skip Tedesco, Metcalfe,Hansen, and Pourcel for Chiz. That makes sense.

Sounds harsh but I think it would cheapen the Twotwo brand to hire a guy of that calibre.

Is a shame Reed couldn't lock down one of the top guys this year, be great to see that team grow.

It's kind of a fine line even if the Monster money would allow him to hire someone else. The top contenders for this year are already signed.

Reed has said he wants someone that can contend for championships, but I really doubt that he would have hired or would have been able to hire a rider for this year while he is still contending for championships that would be on his level or better. He doesn't like to lose and neither do the other top guys.

And it would probably take some big money for someone who rides at or above his level to join his team while Reed is still racing to win himself.

If Reed wants to continue the team after his retirement or after he isn't so much of a threat to win himself, the odds of getting a top rider to join his team would increase.

Just my opinion.
