Not sure if this has been done before.

Was thinking the other day of Racing Families in MX.

I could think of..

Stewarts
Hansens
Craigs
Lusks?

Father-son or Brothers.

What other Racing families are out there that have made it to the Pro level?

There have been lots of brothers

Ryan & Tyler Villopoto (coming soon to SX?)
Mike & Jeff Alessi
Ryan & Justin Sipes
Travis & Shane Sewell
Ivan & Gio Tedesco
Jeff & Bryan Emig
Keith & Greg Bowen
Tyson & Tallon Vohland

Some of the lesser known brothers did not have as much success at the pro level but they made it.

And we had the New Mexico clan. Isiah and Keith Johnson and their cousin Justin Buckelew

From Missouri Doug and Brian Stone. I believe each one made both 125 and 250 night programs on the same night (when you could still try and qualify for both programs).

The most succesful family has to be Harry and Stefan Everts. They combined to win 14 world MXGP championships as a father & son. Harry had 4 and Stefan 10.

At the US pro level the Vohlands are the only ones I can think of where each brother won 125SX races as pros.

And between Donnie and Josh Hansen both father and son have race wins and championships in Donnie's case.

The Kings from NZ often had 3 brothers in 500GP at the same time, Darryll, Shayne and Damian,

They are brothers. There is a Van Martin who turned pro last year but he is not related.

I think its interesting that we haven't had a really dominant family in the USA, in terms of championships. I guess its proof that talent can only take you so far.

Would the Joneses that Bauer mentioned be the most successful brother duo in the US? Or maybe the Stewarts just based on James' championships alone plus Malcolm making on successful satellite teams?

And what about the whole Brady bunch of Johnsons we had in SX several years ago. Weren't at least some of those related? Chad, Keith, Keith, Casey.......

Oh, and what about the Moss brothers from Australia? Is that right, Moss? Aren't they like cousins of Chad Reed......no, seriously?

Chris and Drew Gosselaar
Josh and Justin Hill

Also a good chance of Zach and Chase Bell in the near future.

I was thinking about the Stews Bros, If Malcom ever gets it together they could be up there with the best of the moto families, if not on top.

Moss brothers both podiumed at some point in the states. No relation to Reed.

Craig Anderson is Reed's cousin, and Ando's little brother Danny was also a seriously fast pro.

Jay and Ryan Marmont have both won championships here

Brett Metcalfe has an older bro who also raced for several factory teams here and may have also won a national title, memory's not that great.
