I somehow hope James gets on a new bike brand....just to prove to everyone that it´s not the bike !!! Huh

I´m so tired of hearing the blame on the bike from people in all these forums !

Vilopoto did not like all of his kawi´s still he won !

James didn´t like the kawi he won the 24/24 national titel on....still he won on it !

What if 22 was sold, or merged into JGR?

I can't see James signing a three year contract with JGR/Yamaha when he isn't completely satisfied with the bike. That is the remainder of his career. There has to be some "out" for him if he didn't like the Yamaha in his contract. Maybe not out of the team, but off the Yamaha. James is racing outdoors. Get ready for it.

James is very smart, he talks about going to two two for the next few months as outdoors edges closer he can't decide what to do so it sets him up for a great excuse not to race outdoors. I am a die hard Stewart fan I am pumped when he does good and I goto bed feeling down when he crashes out. But I have got to say if he doesnt race outdoors this seaon I will have to jump off th band wagon.

This this. Well, the last two sentences.

For me he was sort of off the hook in 2011. He had just come off probably his worst season ever and was busy DOING SOMETHING about it---changing his team/bike/attitude/focus, etc. Seems only a couple of those changed, but still...

So he changed all these variables between '11 and '12, and this Stewart fan's obvious reaction was "Yay, things are going to be a lot better this year!" Then the first couple rounds came and went, and James responded to my hopefulness with a firm "NO THEY AIN'T, BITCH!"

So he's in much the same position he was last year: 1st or 2nd in speed, dead last in consistency. What else can he do? What's left to change? Duh, bro, GO RACING THIS SUMMER! Ride the hell out of the bike, get back your edge. It might be the only way.

I actually think he will do outdoors. I wouldn't put money on it, but I'm thinking yes. Fingers crossed!

(LOL @ Chad being a master troll.)

JS7 is not racing the outdoors, that's a done deal! He is staying home to work on his show and promoting Toyota, that's why he signed with JGR for the extra 2mil a year.

They also added a new theme song to the show

When James first rode the JGR bike he said you can't even compare it to his San Manual bike. That's funny and his results were better on the old bike.

When was Canard's last fulls season?

All you people bashing on Stewart for not being happy when he's not winning remember how upset RC was when he was getting beat by Reed?

As for the rumor, JGR has always been pretty strict with its contracts on the NASCAR on the side of things so I don't think that would ever happen.

I guess when nobody gives a shit about you, nobody gives a shit about you. Having a personality helps some. Maybe you should start a cheer-leading group or something.

If this was true and it happend Two Two motorsports would not only have to pay JGR to end JS7's 3 year deal, but also JS7's wages for the summer, which would probably be 7 figures.. Just to ride 12 nationals..? Yer ok.

Well.....those are speculations that we as fans know nothing about really. It "could" boil down to JGR just letting James go and paying him for his service up to date. Who knows.......but it's a tricky situation.

"IF" it is the bike that James is so unhappy with.......he has to do what he has to do....and that's get on something that makes him comfortable. I just wish he would figure it out.....cause he aint got much time left in his career.

I would love to see the guy out there running the nationals......I don't care what bike he is on. If he misses the outdoors again this season......I think it's safe to say " Stick a big fat fork in it".

RV chooses it that way.

In the game of professional motorsports, the results are less than half the battle. Trophies look nice on the wall, but for the true professional (as in, gets paid!) big 'ol checks look better.

RV has no interest in marketing himself and maximizing his earning potential. That is why his Q-factor rating is so low in this sport. He doesnt care for the distractions and drama it brings. And it works for him. He's doing what he wants to do and accomplishing HIS goals.

Like I said, this is PROFESSIONAL motorsports. RV may have the hardware at the end of the year. But Bubba gets paid more. You tell me who is beating who in this sport? One could easily make the argument that Bubba is winning game that matters to a professional... money.

Im assuming youre joking but about the only thing that could eclipse twotwo signing Bubba is twotwo bringing JLaw back.

It seriously would be a smart move. Reed has always said he'd like a teammate but he wont do it unless he can pay them a fair wage. And in order for him to do that, the rider has to have a big enough name that Reed can bring in good sponsorship to cover the salary.

Dungey fit that description, and Reed made a valiant attempt to get him. Bub's fits that mold as well. And JLaw certainly has that sort of marketability IMO.

Yeah, and Valentino Rossi just all of a sudden forgot how to ride and became a 10th place guy.

The bike matters. Especially when you are riding the Ducati Desmo of dirtbikes....the YZ450F

I agree with a lot of this except the money part. Not everyone is in it purely for the money to buy more Lambos, some actually care about being a professional and breaking records, which RV will if he stays healthy.

lol that maybe true, Red Bull have very deep pockets, but come on.. I don't think Reedy would be that stupid to even sign JS7 even if someone else did cover the cost.. But I've been wrong before...

Don't listen to the people on the forums, listen to the top pros that have ridden it. Even Reed said the bike is a "turd," Pourcel, Byrne and many others have said the bike has issues. You can listen to Tim Ferry's comments on it from last week right here.
http://www.pulpmx.com/stories/racer-x-podcast-atlanta-wrap

I think you said you have the YZF in another thread, my cousin does also and he loves the bike. It is a great bike, but apparently at the very top level it has some problems. I still don't think Stewart would be as fast or consistent as RV, but I think he would ride more aggressive like we are use to seeing from him. It probably doesn't help that the JGR bike is 20 lbs heavier than Andrew Shorts Honda (according to Matthes.)

As for the original topic, I think it would be very cool to see Chad and James on the same team. I know both said they talked on the phone a lot about it happening before James signed with JGR. I just don't see how James could get out of his contract.
