OK, so I think I need to point something out. I am a fan of Krock, and I think the kid has an amazing future ahead of him, but where is the respect for Blake in this whole MX of Nations deal. Heres my point. Saturday at the race during the quali Blake started 1st with Krock right behind him. Now remember this was an all 250 race so the chips are stacked fairly. Blake runs away with the moto, pulls a 15 sec gap and then maintains it the whole way. Krock crashes and falls behind and never really did anything with the guys ahead of him the rest of the moto which were Marvin and Dean. Nobody has given credit to Blake for this. Now, skip to Sunday and Germany doesnt have a snowballs chance in hell at a good OA in the event and Krock gets what beleived to be a better position on the gate than the very inside which is were Blake was put by the US team. Krock gets a good start and Blake goes down with Tony in the first corner then has another crash later on and the result is what it is. But, had Blake not been in the back dealing with guys that were at times 5-6 seconds a lap slower, dont you just think he would have run up front with everyone, especially being that he killed everyone on Saturday.
I just think that everyone has discredited what Blake did and have jumped on this bandwagon of Krock. Understandbly, the kid is amazing, but just give some credit where credit is due. These two will have some great battles in 2012 which will be great for everyone, but at least give the kid some respect. In some ways I almost think that there are some American fans out there that had wished we had lost the event so they could have really taken some punches.
Thanks for letting me rant.

He'll have all next year to go back and forth with Roczen. I'd say we'll have a better assessment at the end of the year.

Is having the #1 gate pick an advantage on Sunday?
(Blake & Dungeys results counted towards #1 gate pick...they threw out RV's 1st on Saturday)
So in a way it does count because it helps the team overall on Sunday.
I think Blake just had one of those days on Sunday.
And like DC said in his podcast,Blake is much better then his results showed that day.
But every racer has a bad day every now and then.
and, of course Blake is better than 17, I don't doubt that.
I've seen guys go "balls out" in SX over here many times during the qually's.....
Seen some good battles over the years in the Heat races,LCQ's & even in the old Semi's.
Of course there are bonuses for some guys in SX (for heat race wins) and they do not make any $ for the MXoN ,but it is still important to them. Seen guys over here battling in heat races for 2nd 3rd 4th 5th positions etc....
BMan-
"everybody has one"... I guess, I will say, we will see...
BMan-
What changed your mind over the course of that weekend?
BMan-
He's certainly capable of being a champion speed wise.
Pit Row
And i would love to see blake get on a 450 and win a moto.
Blake is the real deal and I've known that since I saw him in 09 at Loretta's. The fact that he went from 36th to 17th in his second moto at the MXdN seems to be lost on a lot of people. If he hadn't been taken out along with Wilson when Cairoli hit that tuff block in the first turn I think he would have been well inside the top ten with ease. And the fact that he smoked his quallifier while having never even been to Europe before, let alone ridden that track before speaks volumes.
But if you are looking for love for Baggett, you might be hard pressed to find it. Ken Roczen and Jeffery Herlings are "on another level"--or haven't you been told that yet?
You seam to be a bit of a hypocrite. Your name is HaterSuck when in fact you seam like the hater. I was saying people should recognize a good performance and consider all of the variables that go into each race. I like almost every rider out there and I simply evaluate each performance for what it really is. Kenny rode great at the race, but so did Blake and to me it just was overlooked. That is all I have been saying the whole time.
For some others selective parts of the race is the "only truth"...
The above is a shit party in the shades of gray, at least the second part, but still for me the old expression: you are just as good as your last race makes the most sense.
So based on that, the amount of admiration I feel for RD/RV/Rozcen weights equally with the disappointment I feel towards Cairoli and Blake. And it's damn hard for my cortex as in logic and sense to accept my hurt feeling screaming from the limbic system by seeing CP and AC fail, but at some point I see more honor in surrender.
Basically, I suggest when someone becomes impressed by a 17-17 performance or make the qualifier the main achievement he or she might need to listen to their cortex...
Just saying...
