MX Tracks In Georgia

I'm thinking about taking a transfer at my job that will send me to LaGrange Georgia. Anyone know of any good MX tracks in the area? I appreciate any input.

You would also be 45 minutes from War Eagle MX in Auburn which is a very good practice only track. Open most Saturdays and Sundays in winter and usually Wednesday evening and Sundays in the summer.

Edit: And you could head on over and try to be a Walker on the Walking Dead which is filmed near there (LaGrange) lol.

Monster Mountain, War Eagle, and Phenix City are your closest options that are open on a regular basis. That's a pretty good location for moto. Lots of options within a reasonable driving distance.

When I lived in GA, I raced a couple GPG races at Coyote Run, in little ass Parrot, GA (near Americus). Then it closed down, but I remember that track was one of the most fun I had ever ridden. Did it ever re-open?

Matt Walker runs it now and has it open every few months for practice and has said he may start races again in 2017 last I heard.

I'm partial because I used to work there, but Durhamtown is about 2 hours north I believe.

It's like the dirt bike Mecca. I can admit that the moto tracks for the core moto guy aren't exactly like the others, but there are miles and miles of trails, about 14 moto tracks scattered throughout the property, a straight rhythm, an arenacross track, and a freestyle course. Pretty much something for everyone. If you've got family, it's a great place to go.

Worth checking out anyway. I think you're closest to Bremen which is a phenomenal track.

Unfortunately, Bremen MX has been shuttered for a couple of years now. Look at pictures on Google Earth. It has huge washout ditches, etc. in the middle of it now. Wish I had the money to buy the property and re-open it. Bremen City Schools was the last known owner of the property.

Man I had no idea. I've been living in Florida for five years now. Still surprised I didn't hear about it. I guess that means his next closest option would be monster mountain in Alabama right? I've never been.

I believe the property got sold. A friend of mine started that track. (Karl Scott) he had Mark Barnett come in and build it.

Ron is a good friend of mine and would like to eventually reopen the track but has no plans to at this time.

Did you ever ride at Southern Extreme in Vidalia when it was open? Basic layout, but that was THE place to go when it rained! Soaked up water very well.. Plus only $10 to ride from morning to night

I feel like I put in about 1000 laps in at that place lol. It was only 25 minutes from my house. Guy who used to run it passed away.

Feel like I put in 2000 laps at Live Oak in Daisy lol. It was only 20 minutes from my house. Was sorry to see Red pass away as it was never the same after that. Near the end his eyesight was so bad he had to hold the bills right up to his face to see what denomination they were. Nice guy.
