At least I think it's a DG... It's aluminum none the less...

Rock, the 74 and 75 models used a rear mount shock position. The 76-78 used a forward mount that will actually have the shock vertical or even too far forward past vertical at the lower mount. I have a bunch of different ones, maybe one I might consider selling. Find out more specifically what he's looking for and see if he already has shocks he's using on the bike. If he already has the shocks he wants to stick with, he better find the right arm. AMS Racing in Az. sells a Thor replica swingarm, Novation Racing sells their own design swingarm built to more modern standards and VMX Racing sells a DG replica arm. I don't know if any of them actually have one in stock, but let me know if you have any more questions. Go get a little more info now.

Also, some of them require a different axle and adjuster setup so look closely.

Okay Rock, tell him to jump on this one from AMS Racing / (480)610-4574. Just spoke to Tim, he actually has one in stock. Come with bushings already installed, axle , chain adjusters and the chain rub block. And it is for the 74-75 model. Tell him to ask about a chain guide for it though. $495.00 and it's all brand new. If you found an old Thor arm all worn out without the axle and adjusters, you'd spend that much.

74-75 is the one on the left. 76-78 on the right. These are what Fox used early on for their team bikes! Most likely it is 1 inch longer than stock as were most aftermarket arms so he will most likely need a new chain. Check out Badbrush Design for a Pro-Tec style period correct chain tensioner. That is what you usually saw on those arms.

Badbrush Designs tensioner.

Looks like a cobby Pro-Tech replica.
