I'm not at all surprised with this acquittal. It's Florida, he's a retired cop, and the "Stand your ground" law can be interpreted in a multitude of ways. The fact that it took 8 years for trial, to me, was a strong indication of what the outcome would be.

I hope that old man has no peaceful days left in his future.

I would like to know what shut the door on a guilty verdict. An alternate was interviewed afterwards. They were not allowed in deliberations. He said Reeves was guilty.
